Really cool to see a place in the North Country that has pork roll! The inside is a modern industrial style shop filled with neatly crafted baked goods, good coffee, and cool menu options.

I miss this place so much! I moved away awhile ago but I miss the coffee and the best cookies ever. Each seasonal flavor is worth a try. They take time to decorate and make some of the best cookies I’ve ever had (don’t tell my mother.) the breakfast sandwich is filling. The portions are hearty. The staff has always been kind and patient when I ordered there. I may never go back to the area but I have a half a heart to do it just to have coffee here again.

I stopped in for the first time with a close friend and had an amazing experience. The vibe of the place is very somber and calm, which is a nice change to the area. The coffee is brewed well and is rich in flavor, and everything from the bakery is great. I saw a poster in there that said to support tattooed veterans, which I thought was awesome. The entire staff was professional and loved to chat with my buddy and I. Highly recommend going here.

They've recently updated their inside and added more tables, but took away that nook with the couch. Bummer. That was my favorite place to sit. It was like my little private space. Coffee is always delicious. Their hot sandwiches are amazing. And their baked goods have all been amazing. It has a nice chill vibe which I love. I want to just sit and people watch and read a book. Sometimes I wish that the baristas are a bit nicer and patient. They seem cold and want you to just quickly order and move on. Even when there is no one behind me. Not a lot of options in this area, and this is my favorite coffee shop in Watertown.

Hands down the best bakery in Watertown and the surrounding area. Unbelievable pastries, cookies, muffins and sandwiches. Everything is fresh and made from scratch. Best coffee and lattes in town! Try it once and you'll be back I promise!
Starch is a surprising find in the rural community of Watertown. The cinnamon rolls are just the right ratio of dough to cinnamon, without being dry. The cream cheese icing adds a lovely touch. The almond cookies are moist and tasty. Coffee is smooth and not bitter. The atmosphere is warehouse chic, and inviting service was kind and understated.

Starch is a great spot to have a coffee and a pastry. Its danishes are a treat not to be missed!

We always try to grab local coffee when traveling. The drip and espresso we ordered were delicious! Neither of us drink sweetened drinks and a lot of places use sugar to camouflage bad coffee but not this place. They also had a variety of pastries including some gluten free options. Everything looked delicious!

LOVE this cafe! The perfect example of a small business, their coffee is amazing, all of their pastries are made in house, and the staff is so nice!
