Classic American cooking
It’s been a disaster every time I’ve ordered from this restaurant. Every time I order the strawberry shortcake something is always mess with it whether it’s the sauce or the whipped cream. This place is a dump.

I've dined at Bob's Diner before and I always liked their takeout. Just recently my family went there for lunch and we had an enjoyable time. My daughter loved the silver dollar pancakes and bacon. This is definitely a good choice if you want something quick or something worthy of taste.

Friendly service, fast service and good food. Place was clean, no frills diner but there was a large selection to choose from including 24 hour breakfast and daily specials. A great local spot for a quick bite. My hubby had breakfast at noontime and said everything was perfect, a nice large platter of eggs, home fries and toast. I ordered a BLT (can’t go wrong)… veggies were fresh, bacon was crisp, pickle was a zippy sour.
The good news is that this old-fashioned diner is open 24/7 & has its own parking lot (next to railroad tracks). I'd asked for crisp bacon in my breakfast sandwich, & it came crisp. The bad news is that the food was SO GREASY that I almost couldn't eat it. While the amount of scrambled eggs in my sandwich was generous, the eggs were overcooked & brown &, as I said, so greasy. When I picked up the sandwich, there was grease on the plate - not appetizing. As Bob's Diner has been open since Aug., 1979 (for 46 years), I guess there has to be customers who like the food...
We were driving nearby and needed lunch and randomly chose to eat here. Retro diner with really neat decor. Food was good and also reasonable.
was here years ago and it was a greasy spoon type diner. went recently and wow -remodeled-clean-- food was tasty and generous portions - prices reasonable - service could be faster but overall 5 stars for the diner category
Best place for breakfast for dinner in the capital district
Its a 24-hour diner. We were there around 9am on a Monday, and the lot was empty; one other party inside. While we were there, more people came in.
Very welcoming staff, and our order was taken in good time, was correct, and it was good!
I have nothing good to say...

As a Diner Enthusiast, I have had my fair share of commonly requested diners. I think this was the most talked about diner in the capital region. Being known for one of, if not the only, 24 hour diner in the area, it carries some mystique. Located right next to a railroad, this place attracts all walks of life. I'm sure going at 2 AM on a Saturday night would be entertaining. Over 40 years owned and operated by the same family. Cool Story. Check out my social for the video! AnotherDayAnotherDiner
Portions have been horrible. Make multiple orders to wait just to get canceled. Make large orders for groups they just get canceled. Awful online service. Always loved this place too.
We like Bob's, Good all nighter any hour food. Short and simple menu. Could use a milkshake machine though.😉
Other than that. We will keep on returning. Thank You for another pleasant experience.
It’s old and run down and smells like mold. Once one of the older waitresses served me coffee no milk or sugar on table and had white powder in her nose. It’s very concerning seeing as it’s an establishment for kids and families. Sad sight to see I used to love this place. Not to mention the weed smell pouring from the kitchen and very young staff that barely look old enough to work. Ive witnessed a fight in the establishment with a 16 year old worker and a grown man employee in front of customers and nothing seemed to be done about it
has become quite expensive. hot sandwich with a small smattering of mash potatoes no veggies no soup no salad and ice tea no desert $30 give me a break
