Early in the season, but hoped for more. Not many beers listed and none of the ones I saw online. Vibe was off. The chips and salsa was tasty, the Lakeside Lager was ok. More of a bar than a brew pub.

The jambalaya rice bowl was amazing. It had been a few years since we ate at this restaurant, so we thought we'd give it a try for lunch when we arrived in the FLX Region. It's just as good as we could remember. Service was great and we enjoyed our lunches. Would definitely try it again when in the area next time!

The owner, Doug Thayer, treated a child poorly. When I was 11 years old, I delivered the local newspaper (The Daily News) to the Wildflower Cafe through my employer, local printing company Review & Express. Wildflower Cafe had an agreement to receive a newspaper every weekday, and in exchange for this service, a small weekly tip was encouraged. The waitress on hand usually gave me 50 cents every Friday afternoon. One Friday, the owner, Doug Thayer, intervened and told me "I'm not paying for this. Get out of here."

This is always our first stop when we get to Watkins Glen but unfortunately it was probably the last time we will go there. The grilled wings and homemade blue cheese do not exist anymore, instead hard fried wings. The fish tacos were very small for the $17 price. A tiny piece of fish and some slaw in three tacos. The atmosphere was not the same. Only a tv on at the bar on a Sunday during football and the dining room, dead silence. Sorry but we will not be back.

Stopped in for lunch with friends upon arrival to the area. Sat outside. The server was awful. When the last person in our party arrived, we waited 15 minutes and then had to go in and ask for our server so our last party could order. The server brought the food for 5/6 of us. The margarita flatbread was not a margarita style. It was caprese style. The menu says margarita. The receipt said caprese. Anyways the server literally never came back. We had to go in and ask about the checks and our last persons order. She gave some nonsense excuse about the burger that was ordered. It doesn’t take 30 minutes to make a burger! The place wasn’t even crowded. I had to get my food to go because it took so damn long to make the burger. The food was ok. The server was the awful though. Definitely disappointed given the high reviews.

Great vegan options. Never heard of cauliflower tacos but they had them. The brussel sprouts, nachos and spicy cauliflower bites were heavenly.

Went there with 4 other people for drinks outside. We were told to sit outside and a waiter would serve us soon. We sat outside right in front of the door for about 20 minutes, with several waitresses coming to the door and looking around, but I guess we were invisible as none came over. We finally left and ate elsewhere. You'd think that business would be more attentive, especially in today's virus situation

Standard pub fare. Wasn't the best place to eat in Watkins Glen, but I enjoyed the experience. The wings were probably the best thing on the menu.

Good choice of beers and good pub food in the heart of Watkins Glen. From burgers to tacos to the beer, it's a place where you can't go wrong. Not to mention friendly and knowledgeable staff

Stopped to sample some beverages and had some appetizers. Beverages were great and appetizers were delish! Wait staff was very attentive.

We stopped in here for a beer on our trip to the area. The beer was very good and surprisingly, so was the cider! Don't miss it!

One of the most uncaring staff I've worked for EVER. The prep areas were kept FILTHY and RAW meat was cut on the same filthy boards they used to prep food. If you want to eat safely AND get you're monies worth I suggest you dine elsewhere.

My husband and I are staying in Montour Falls overnight just for fun. We stopped in Watkins Glen for dinner. We walked by the Wildflower Cafe and almost missed it, but boy are we glad we went in. From the moment we walked in the door we were cheerfully greeted and promptly seated. An attentive waitress gave drink suggestions and brought water right away. We ordered our meals— a grilled chicken Caesar salad and a “ham” and Swiss panini with shoestring fries. From first bite to last, everything was delicious. The service was top-notch. We agree this is a hidden gem we are going to return to many, many more times.

Took 1&1/2 to get lunch..shrimp not cooked, blackened burger not blackened, side salad bigger than grilled chicken salad.
