We got take-out from them this past Friday. We really enjoyed the crab cakes and cider beer batter fish fry. The French fries were great too. It was so convenient to be able to call a head of time to order and then pick up.
A hidden gem, not sure how I had missed it for so long. Great cozy place. A large selection of ciders (theirs) and other drinks incl local beer.
Very beautiful inside, very nice waitress: helpful, knowledgeable. Definitely will go there again since we did not get any good (bad time of day for food).
Highly recommended
Very nice people. Very welcoming. The wine tasting experience was awesome!
Amazing People! I delivered here! They were so respectful! Love them!
went looking for a doughnut and found a great restaurant and bar
Sweetest lady took care of us. Will definitely go back
Absolutely wonderful cider, we went for our anniversary and had a wonderful time! Cannot wait to go back
Delicious variety of ciders and tasty boneless wings! We were the only guests when we went and it was the most intimate date night out we'd ever had. Krista was very kind, friendly, and attentive. The interior of the space is rustic and the bar itself is gorgeous. Krista sent us home with the unsold donuts for the night and our kids loved that the next morning. Amazing that it's been there for 187 years and we just discovered it! Can't wait to go back again, and highly recommend.
Golden delicious cider. Yummmm
Excellent place and very friendly people.

Mayer’s is one of those places that seems like it hasn’t changed in over a hundred years (hand painted signs, unfinished wooden floors and fixtures, the smell of fresh apples and frying dough) and you hope that it never does. The folks are kind, unpretentious, and welcoming in a way you’d expect from a long standing family owned local business: on one cold autumn afternoon I stopped in to buy some cider and ended up sharing a glass of applejack with the octogenarian behind the counter who told me stories of his father making moonshine in the mountains of Pennsylvania. There are plenty of good options for cider in the area, this is, of course, apple country, but other local mills water down their cider to cut costs. Mayer’s on the other hand is noticeably more flavorful and just a touch more viscous; a sign that pennies more you pay per gallon is more than worth it to know you’re getting the best there is. I think it’s also worth noting that although there is nothing like a fresh jug of cider at the peak of picking season, it’s also a nice place to stop throughout the year to sample their homemade wines and hard cider, all of which are exceedingly drinkable.
Delish doughnuts, cider, etc. Friendly owner and staff. My favorite stop.
Mayers has some great wines and ciders to choose from, and the servers are very friendly.
Absolutely delicious fish fry! Wonderful curled fries! Great service! Talented musicians! Great music!
The staff is incredible, and the Friday night fish fry was pretty darn good! My sister loved their homemade hard cider
