“My husband and I had a wonderful dinner there. the other night! We had the pork belly appetizer, the beet salad, and the shrimp and grits. I hesitated to order the shrimp and grits, because it's something I make at home, but theirs was excellent!”

“I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve had garbage plates from Dogtown & Nick’s (the OG). I got a half-plate, which was still a huge portion weighing probably four pounds, with mac’n’homefries and cheeseburger topped with the cinnamon (mild but tasty) meat sauce and “a little bit” of onions, mustard, and ketchup. This was BY FAR the most delicious garbage plate I’ve ever had. I will ABSOLUTELY be coming back here. And it’s less than a 10-minute, quick’n’easy drive from Rochester General Hospital (so skip the Wolfgang Puck despite the convenience). I will add that the young woman who took my order was kind and friendly. The meal “to-go” was ready in less than 4 minutes. And the food was delicious, not at all greasy—literally PERFECT”

The 100% angus beef is an extremely substantial and high quality patty. My choice of melted Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, tomato, lettuce on a fresh roll ….in the world of hamburgers it doesn’t get any better. The sides are limited because they are made fresh and always delicious. The weekly special meatloaf …another highlight, high quality and savory, melt in your mouth deliciousness. If we have any room we end the meal with an expertly made crème brûlée. This restaurant specializes in French cuisine and I have yet to find any restaurant that can top this rich and creamy desert. In addition to the quality of food the atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve entered a European cafe. Linen napkins, a very private outdoor patio with fresh herbs and music makes this restaurant a standout from the run of the mill fast, loud and fried food dining experience. The owner and staff are friendly and strict with quality, which is highly apparent in everything they do.”

“Beyond impressed! This pizza was the only pizza my family would order when I was a kid. We moved to Florida and over the years people have started away from them and we were always disappointed. We tried it twice and we're so impressed I had to review! Wings are cooked to perfection and the pizza is on point! ESPECIALLY the GLUTEN FREE!!! It actually looks, feels and chews like a pizza, not just a glorified tortilla. We will always order from Marks when we come to visit!

“I'm not sure I agree with the claim that it is the best sushi in Rochester, but I will say that I think it's among the best sushi VALUES in this area. Overall the food was very good. We ordered a Bento Box A, edamame, two rolls and an order of dumplings. The Bento Box A was simply a massive amount of food. It could easily be split between two people. The salad and soup are standard fare and reasonably forgettable, but definitely not poor quality. The five pieces of sushi and the California roll were fresh, well made and tasted great. The dumplings were delicious. We set aside the teriyaki chicken as a snack to have another day because there was simply too much food to have at one sitting, and the vegetable and shrimp tempura were very very good. We got our food to go but went in to get it. The interior feels a little rundown, but appeared to be clean and was comfortable. I would definitely order food from them again.”

“Late-night option when many other things were already closed...but it turned out it wasn't like we missed out on something better because of the late hour...this was perfect. The wife and I got to relax with my sister and brother-in-law at a table for as long as we wanted. Complimentary popcorn is always a bonus. I was debating over 2 new-to-me beers and the server offered giving me 2 glasses with half of each - how nice! I got the Irish beef stew and it was enormous, delicious, and I was very impressed with how much meat they put in it. Wife got the Santa Fe Chicken Wrap which she raved about as well.”

“Me and my friends went here after the garlic festival thinking we were going to get some quick food and then go to a claw machine place. WELL GUESS WHAT, THEY HAD CLAW MACHINES!!! We were going through a couple of them when the owner came up, put 10 more quarters in my cup to keep playing. I ended up being 1 square away from getting the Jumbo Pickle Rick and fell to my knees absolutely devastated that I lost and just when I was about to put another dollar and lose the owner came over and handed me the jumbo pickle Rick. I LOVE RICK AND MORTY SO MUCH SO I WAS ESTATIC. I didn't try the food because I ate before but my friends said their 5 sampler plate was fantastic so trust WE will be back. I love how sweet and welcoming everyone was, I get a little nervous going into pubs sometimes since I'm a teenager who doesn't know a lot about sports but these people were so unbelievably kind, I will be back!!”

“I was visiting Rochester from Ilinois. On my last night there before heading home, I wanted to relax and chill to mentally recap the weekend before heading back to the hell of Illinois. Anyways. I was recommended by a local to go to Castaways. I was not disappointed. It was about 8:30 pm, 65 degrees, a cool breeze coming off the lake, exceptional service, the shrimp scampi was the best I have ever had, and the stunning visuals of the sunset on the west side of Lake Ontario / Lake America was stunning. The Moscow Mule drinks were amazing, and made properly with copper mugs. It is crazy how many high end bars won't make a proper Mule without a copper mug. There is a real difference. Just so relaxing. Not only visually, but hearing the waves crash over the rocks was a nite cap. Can't wait to come back here!”

“Absolutely loved everything about Tabbouleh!! The food was amazing! Chicken Shawarma Pita and Plate, and the Mixed Grill Plate were cooked perfectly, presented perfectly, and enjoyed by all! The lighting was dimmed just enough to make the whole restaurant feel warm and inviting. The decor added to the warmth of the space. I later discovered the entire design and execution was wholly done by the owners, Halat and Mery! Incredible!! 5+ stars and we will be back!!!

“I want to thank Tea(I didn't get the spelling) for her amazing customer service and staying on top of things in the kitchen and making sure all the employees were on top of orders. There were at least 7 people waiting from a rush and she didn't break a sweat keeping up with orders while also acknowledging the people waiting at the counter. I had to wait a bit longer than expected, but for the customer service Tea offered it was a painless experience. Thank you Tea and I'll be back again. 10/10”
