Had a great lunch today with family. A table of 7 were seated immediately with water and menus already on the table. Our order was placed within 5min of sitting down and food delivered 5 min later. I got a lime margarita and the la changa with beans. It was delicious. Other family members ordered the carnitas and elote. Will definitely return. Yum!

Went here for a business lunch. Food was great. Was a small issue with the font of the numbers where two of us read lunch special 9 as number 8. We ate what came to us and it wasn't a big deal. Read your menu carefully. We will eat here again.

Was at Monte Alban on Empire Blvd last night for dinner. My friend did not care for the cocktail she ordered. Our waitress was not easy to communicate with so my friend walked up to the bar and asked the bartender to fix her drink. When we paid our bill she was charged $8 to fix a $10 cocktail! We asked to speak to manager (again waitress did not speak much English). The manager could have cared less. Very poor customer relations! We will not be going back to Monte Alban!

Food is good. My main issue is that just about every time we order take out, they forget the rice that comes along with the meals. They don't pay close attention to the orders. Very frustrating.

Great place.. the only thing is you have to watch them switching steak for chicken. It has happened to me a few times when ordering anything with steak in it.

My husband and I have been going to Monte Alban for a long time. The food is always consistent and prices are reasonable. I normally get the Pancho's Special or Carne Asada. My husband is vegetarian and there are decent options for him. Their lunch options are a great deal. However, we stopped in earlier this week and had insanely rude service. When we got our bill, I forgot to sign the slip and our waitress, Alondra, came over reeking of weed and looking high af, slammed the receipt down and said "the least you could have done was sign it" with a stank ass attitude. My husband and I have both worked in the food service industry before and are more understanding than most people but her behavior was totally unprofessional and uncalled for. She clearly didn't want to be there and that is not our fault. We kept it classy and left a tip anyway but we will never go back.
I have to admit, the place is beautiful. I love the authentic Mexican style. Taco Tuesday is my favorite. You receive three generous tacos of your choice for $5. My preference is the beef taco. Although I did try the chicken taco which was pretty tasty. Nice place to bring your family and friends. Almost forgot the chicken and rice combination. Umm umm good. Great service and hospitality.Vegetarian options: Salads are great.
