We got take away. I was good, sadly most of the rolls seem to have a lot of cream cheese as a base. Not my favorite type of sushi. We did find a few really good rolls without it.Avoid the spring rolls. They tasted...... not fresh. We ordered 7 rolls. All really good.

Ordered takeout from Taka and it was amazing. Food was delicious, fresh and had generous portions. Tried a variety of Sushi from an extensive and fun menu. Several different combination options are also available. Ordered Pork Gyoza, Edamame and fried Rice. All were great, but I thought the Edamame need a bit more seasoning salt. Picked up form the restaurant. Order was ready before I got there. Atmosphere is great inside, comfortable and bright. Will definitely order again.

This is my favorite restaurant in Rochester. Excellent sushi!! It's hardtop pick a favorite from here, but the eel is one I go back to over and over.

My sister, mom, and I got take out from Taka House because it was close and we had been recommended it. I ordered a Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box and that basically was: a California Sushi Roll, teriyaki chicken dish, 3 small dumplings, an egg roll, and a salad. The sushi roll (which my mom ordered too) was delicious, as we agreed. It was very well prepared and the flavor was great. The teriyaki chicken was just baked chicken with some steamed veggies with teriyaki sauce dribbled on top… it genuinely wasn’t anything fancy and the meat was tender but it was just chicken pieces with small veggies and sauce. The dumplings and egg rolls were really cute and tasted very yummy! The salad with literally iceberg lettuce with this chunky orange sauce on it. It definitely wasn’t appealing to the eye but my sister ate it and enjoyed it. So overall from this experience I can say that the Sushi Roll was really, really good and I would have it again, the Chicken Teriyaki wasn’t anything amazing and was very basic so I wouldn’t order again but it wasn’t disgusting or anything. The dumplings and egg roll were really good so I would ? order that again, and the salad just didn’t look appealing so that would be a no go. For the atmosphere the seating looked very cozy and the cultural music/decorations gave it an authentic feel. The woman who gave us our food wasn’t too friendly but the waiter who was going around seemed very kind and welcoming.

Food was very bland tasting, steak was over cooked almost rubbery, white rice was sticky very few vegetables.. I was told they have no sauce when asked to have yum yum sauce with my Hibachi. Not sure what was on the salad but there was a clump of orange stuff. Salad was also on the side of the bag so whatever it was went all over. Not recommended in my taste.LOVED SOGO, Needs to open back up for lunch...

Authentic, quiet place with good sushi and lots of selection and variety. Nice owners, and clean. My only concern was the sushi was not very cold, it was almost warm and I ordered California roll and crispy roll, so nothing hot.
