Although the food at this restaurant is passable, the lack of quality customer service and overpriced menu are unacceptable. I've supported a few times because there are only a handful of caribbean restaurants in the area, but I was done when they charged me extra for gravy. The staff in the food service area in the back are always dry and uninviting. I try to support the business, but the poor customer service and overpriced food is a turn off.

The food here is delicious and savory, I have been a customer for years. However, the ladies serving food are rude and unprofessional. It is unfortunate that anyone should have to deal with this type of behavior when spending their money and from our own Caribbean people makes it even worse. They act like it’s a soup kitchen and we are begging for food, it’s ridiculous.I try looking past this because I like the food and the location is convenient but it’s becoming unbearable.I’m seeing all these reviews about the horrible customer service and I am wondering why? Why doesn’t the owner do better for his customers and do something about his staff, in particular the rudest one of all with the purple hair.Do better as a business and as a community, treat your customers better.

I’ve been coming to Sam’s for years, but lately I’ve been having an awful experience with the lady that serves food in the back. She has purple hair and for some reason she has made a decision to dislike me. I ordered a small cowheel soup today and she gave me skin and water, instead of the usual meat with assorted vegetables, and I know she did that purposely because she and I had a similar altercation a few weeks prior, the lady at the cash register had the chef personally give me another soup with meat and vegetables. Sam needs to have a conversation with that lady with purple hair, because she’s letting her personal feelings interrupt the way she treats his customers, she is very bad for his business. I don’t think I’ll be patronizing his establishment any time soon, however, I want to say thank you to the chef and the other lady at the register for being kind to me and fixing the issue.

Ok, we are back with another one and the place is like the best-kept secret. This spot has a little of everything going on life insurance, grocery store, and then hot food. Well, we reviewing the hot food. The chili salmon and peas and rice were my first choice and this was the ? bomb, some patties, and some oxtail. Everything is delicious a must-try spot if you like Caribbean food
