Great beer selection - loved all the IPAs I tried!! Live in queens but was in the area and wanted to try a new brewery. Owner is very nice and welcoming. The space inside is nice and cozy but they also have outside seating too. I definitely recommend adding this to your next go-to brewery :)

Went to a party here last night and this place is excellent! Super accommodating owners and great beers. They let us bring in our own food and we basically took over the place probably over 50 people at one point. Great space and good vibe. Didn’t feel like I was in west Hempstead anymore so a good change of pace. Highly recommend for a big night out or a chill drink.

Very enjoyable brewery! Got a couple of flights and didn't go broke. What was even better than the price? The taste! Everything was great! I loved that I could get fresh oktoberfest in February.

Love this brewery. Just might have the coldest beers on Long Island. It's tucked away off the road but totally worth it. Very cool set up and vibe. Bartenders know their beers for sure. Great selection of beers so there should be something for everyone. A food truck was on hand so we had some finger food with our beer. Dog friendly!!! We will definitely be back. Cheers

Very cosy place with a great selection of beers. Had a flight with beers ranging from Kolsch to Lager to Stout and enjoyed all four. Missed the food truck but would be back in the summer to enjoy the outside area

It's always fun to review a brewery. I love getting to talk about all the different aspects of a beer spot, especially when it's fantastical like Somerset Brewing Company. My buddies and I visited this West Hempstead beer haven a few weeks ago and had a truly pleasurable experience. Backtracking for a moment, I did visit Somerset one time prior back in July for a quick pint of beer with a friend when we were looking to kill some time. It was super crowded on that hot summer day (we almost couldn't find a seat), but there was a half-free table we snagged and sat outside enjoying the live music, TVs with baseball on, and the overall dynamic vibe of the place. It was cool to also see a massive slab of wood being used as a bar-top (more on that wood in a moment) for people to order from, basically creating very little need to go inside. Flash forward to this most recent trip and it was a completely different (but incredibly enjoyable) visit. This time there really wasn't much setup outside as it was already mid-November and the weather wasn't outdoor drinking quality. Inside though, there were a few tables as well as a bar top that was also made of wood. That aspect of wood is honestly pretty darn cool as a large portion of the place is made up of different structures and items that have been cut and carved by the owner of the brewery. Even the flight holders and names for the beers are made from wood and gives Somerset a slightly unique quality over other breweries. What was also unique was the enjoyment of many of their beers. The tap list was rather extensive for what seemed like a somewhat smaller setup, and there was a nice variety of IPAs, German-style beers, and a few stouts with everything tasting crisp, complex, and well-made. Highlights included Memphis (a festbier with a nice smoothness accompanied by a small bite on the end), Big Boy (a superbly juicy and hazy NE IPA), and Matriarch (a barrel-aged stout with just the right balance of boozy and rich chocolate/coffee flavor notes). Not drinkable was the super chill and friendly bartender who we talked to about music, sports, traveling, and (most importantly) beer. It was a completely casual and enjoyable experience (no one else was there too which was nice). It was so lax that I could've vouched for staying there all day, but alas, we had further brewery plans on our agenda and so we headed out after finishing our flights. Overall, Somerset Brewing Company is a glorious addition to the beer scene and in a location that isn't already over saturated with breweries. It has a small interior that could get crowded, though it's still a friendly setup (through staff and its woody vibes) plus the warmer months allow a much larger extension of things. Oh and the beer is pretty dang good! I may not be as close to this area as I once was, but you can bet your brewskie I shall return.

This is The Best place in Nassau County (only limited since I haven't anywhere been in NYC or Suffolk County for ages). Ownership, Brew and Bar staff are extraordinary!

Amazing spot. Never knew this place existed but when you find it you’ll be glad you did. Great selection of beers and there was a food truck parked outside. Patio was perfect spot to watch the game and hang out with friends.

Visit Date: September 9, 2023I have a friend who likes breweries. So even though I'm sober I end up visiting breweries with him because it's his thing. So Saturday night I didn't have my son and before going over to my other friend's house after work I met my friend at Somerset. They do have some non alcoholic drinks available, I had a can of seltzer. I think on some nights they have different food trucks guest serving food but they also have some of their own food. My friend and I split two small pizzas. They were very good, one of the employees told us they get the pizza from a local pizzeria.I think my friend liked his beers, I should take photos of his beers and ask his opinion next time I go to another brewery with him. There's more outside space than inside space so I guess this place might do better business when it's warmer out. When I got there they had a band playing and outside they have a bunch of different games around.I also noticed many kids so parents if you're like me and sometimes you want to hang out somewhere with your friends but you have to bring your child along at least in the summer this seems like a child friendly place.I enjoyed my time here and might be back with my beer drinking buddy.

Great brewery with friendly owners. Beers are good. The Surgical Precision IPA was delicious. They have an outdoor space and small indoor space and there was a food truck there but we didn't try it. It's be great if they got some umbrellas or more shade outside.
