I was in this Wendy's having a cup of coffee while waiting for a LIRR train; the station is very close to this Wendy's. As such I can't speak about the food, but it seemed standard fast food restaurant food.
The service was nice and I appreciate that they did not bother us even though we were just having coffee.
If you have to wait for a train at the West Hempstead LIRR station, this seems the closest place you can wait and get out of the cold...
January 2026
I won't be going back to this W. Hempstead Wendy's location again. The food & the service has drastically declined over the years. The food is stale, nothing is fresh, not even a simple salad or a sandwich. The people are unpleasant. Going forward, I'll drive the extra 5 minutes to Franklin Square.

The new owners, who I think are actually running and managing the store themselves, have really improved the Service. The speed at which you now get your order is amazing. Hot food is hot and cold Frosties are really cold. BIG improvement from before.
