A wonderful meal with family visiting from out of state. Mussels were amazing and the Shrimp Fra Diablo cooked to perfection!

I am giving the Reservoir Inn, 3 stars, because I really want to like the place and we have been there many times.I really want to see them do well so I thought I would put some feedback here.I know everything costs money and is expensive, but the 2 dollar charge for parmesan cheese and 5 for more bread while you wait with your drink is crazy and cringe worthy. For heaven's sake, just raise your prices. Parmesan cheese is not that expensive. Just grate some at the table. Also the music. It is some of the worst music I have heard in my life. And your decor. Go buy some fresh looking flowers. Take some Winter Berry and some Bittersweet and some fresh flowers and put them out. And the vinyl tablecloth.Yuck. Those look like something my mother would have kept. It's a shame because there are nice antiques hanging, and some nice photos of The Ashokan too. And don't turn people away! Sheeesh. It just needs some warmth in the decor. So my advice would be, to just raise your prices and have a warmer more welcoming atmosphere and don't try to skimp.I always thought the food and service were fine. Although sometimes it's a bit slow getting out the salad and first drink, when there is no one in the parking lot.Parking: Parking is not an issue.

I loved this place and felt lucky to find it. Definitely a locals spot. I had a nice old fashion and a meatloaf dinner with carrot cake for dessert. It was perfect. Love the atmosphere.

The slowest service we have ever experienced. We waited over an hour to get our salad. We asked for extra salad dressing and told an additional $2. After an hour when we got our salad and bread. We asked for more bread and told it would be an additional $5. I hope the dinner, an hour and a half later, is descent. Dinner was fine. Will never return or recommend.

We enjoy the Reservoir Inn for special occasions. Since we had our wedding reception there we try to go every year for our anniversary (and occasion birthdays). This year we had an absolutely delicious jambalaya. The wait staff. Is always excellent and we can always depend on great food!

Dinner was amazing as usual. Loved our server, John. He was very attentive and charismatic. My husband loves the stroganoff, one of his favorites. Tim's preparation of the escargot is so delicious. I changed it up and got the satay shrimp for an appetizer and the teriyaki shrimp dinner. Wow! Can't wait to go back.

I had pork shnitzel and my wife had a shrimp dish; both were delicious with generous portions! The waitress couldn't have been nicer; the dining room is country gorgeous! (We had been there years ago under a different chef/owner). We'll be back!

We went to the Reservoir Inn with family & friends & had an incredible meal. We live in the area, so have gone to the Reservoir Inn for years, over its' various owners. This owner (since 2017, I think), is hands-down, the best yet. The chef (with the appropriate last name of "Cook"!) is great. Everything was perfectly prepared (sometimes hard for chefs to do with fish & shellfish). The chef was especially accomplished in the preparation (good seasonings, nothing overcooked, all freshly prepared on the spot). We ordered a selection ranging from Pork Masala, the Salmon, the Shrimp, the Chicken Cordon Bleu, the Meatloaf, etc, Everything arrived out of the kitchen at the same time, hot & each of the 6 different meals were perfection! Service is fast & very friendly. The meals start with a basket of really nice bread, followed by house salads that a definitely a notch above typical restaurant salads. Entrees followed quickly. Yet the prices are great - about $25 for a full meal with salad & entree. House wine selections were really nice too- very drinkable; no need to dive into a wine list.. We lingered a while. The historic building is well-maintained & makes for a pleasant place to enjoy.

Reservation at 6pm. Dinner arrived at our table 8pm. Chef was alone and could not handle the amount of covers. Anyone looking for a sous chef job? Food was delicious. Server was very kind and brought us extra bread.

Absolutely fantastic, our families go to spot for special occasions and my wife's favorite restaurant in general, food is delicious and good value.Sometimes there is definitely a wait for your food but it's always worth it and the serving staff is wonderful.

First time at Reservoir Inn, went on a Thursday evening with a party of four. All of us enjoyed our entrees, wife had the eggplant parm, was two thick slices cooked to perfection, I had the chicken Marsala over spaghetti, you are offered multiple choices of pasta/starch. Our friends had chicken Alfredo over linguini and chicken piccata, they liked it. Service was good and not to intrusive, alcoholic drinks where as expected. We sat on the enclosed porch with a view of the road and colorful trees. Everything was reasonably priced and we would visit again.
