So, today i ordered a cobb salad from this deli, i am used to ordering from them. I work in a medical office right on Montauk Highway so we order from them all the time. Today I am on lunch break and I go to pick up my salad and when I drive back to my office to eat i find they put a whole iceberg head without cutting it in the container. So know i have a whole iceberg head with chicken on top that I cant move because everything is falling out. I call Donna shes the owner and before im done explaining the situation she tells me “that she spoke with the young man and that he told her that he cut the iceberg and that if im insinuating that he is lying” i called not to ask for my money back or anything just to let her know and she was extremely rude considering my office gives her a ton of service. As a business order, she shouldn’t be verbally attacking her customers when they’re giving her feedback. I like the food but I will not take my service there any longer and nor will my office.

I have eaten food from Captree Deli on various occasions through the years. Always very good, fresh food. Yesterday, 8/3/24, I catered a small hero, salads and pickles for a small group of friends. I was very happy with everything! The food was fresh and delicious, they did a beautiful presentation and provided great serving utensils with the order. Made it all that much easier. They are seasoned at this. It was an easy, seamless process. Thank you Captree Deli!!! You get high marks from me!!!

This is a classic Long Island Deli. I stopped in on my way to Robert Moses with my husband. The woman at the counter was very friendly. You can tell this family runs this business with their heart! I’ve moved away to CT and stopping in here made me home sick. Would definitely come in again for lunch anytime we are in town again! Thank you for a great lunch and pleasant experience. A must stop on the way to the beach!

LOVE this deli. Everyone is so friendly, food is fresh, tasty and theu never make a face when I make an annoying request lol! Gotta do my lettuce wraps since I am gluten AND grain free (NO, I can't do a gluten free wrap) and theirs are DELISH!
The BEST! Captree catered our post wedding brunch for 50+ people. Everything arrived on time, hot and delicious. There was so much food and the spread was enough for anyone to find something they liked. Our guest raved about the food all morning long. We love this local deli. Not only is their food amazing, but so are the people that work there.

Is there a reason why the woman at the register is so rude? This is the second I went there in the last few months and both times she’s was completely rude. Will not be returning to this deli. Someone with that attitude should not be running the front register. Thats just really bad for business.

I went to Captree Deli the other day and got a chicken cutlet on roll. When I brought it home and bit into it, it was cooked on the outside but it was basically raw in the middle. So I had to remove the 1/2 cutlet from the sandwich, picking off pieces of onions, tomatoes, lettuce and wiping off the mayonnaise off the chicken in the process, placed the chicken in my cooking pan and had to finish cooking it myself. It took awhile but eventually it was finally ready to eat! and when I ate it, it was pretty good. But next time I think I’ll just go to a deli that actually finishes cooking the food that I ordered. You should all do the same.
