Talk about a lucky find. After a long day at working, traveling in an unfamiliar I stumbled upon this gem.Let’s just get to it - food was on point; I had the NY strip which was cooked perfectly, with carrots, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. The service was top notch, attentive and super friendly. It seemed this spot was a local favorite [Think Cheers] “Where everyone knows your name”If you are in the area, and looking for a casual place with delicious food and great service - make sure to stop by! ?

The quality of the food was disappointing, especially at almost $30 an entrée.

Just a wonderful, homie type tavern, with solid food choices and wonderful drink options including three different IPA'S. Absolutely loved the bartenders as well as the bartender/apparent owner. Attentive, accommodating and professional. Good overall vibe. Has a better than average burger with better than average sweet potatoes fries. My buddy had a very good chicken pot pie and we all shared average chicken wings with buffalo sauce and plenty of crudite that came with it. The other appetizer which was a shrimp dish with a pasta, was a bit on the megar side (4 shrimp) for the price $16.Plenty of regulars in this establishment, and I could see myself coming back again soon to try some other options as well. The dessert menu was very attractive as well but didn't get a chance or had the room to eat anymore! Next time. Thanks for making our first time so very nice....

Cori our server was awesome and made my daughter special chocolate milk. My kids rated their 10 out 10... not easy to get 3 kids to all like the same restaurant. Everything was delicious and fast service.Kid-friendliness: Special Kids meal and delicious

The service was great! The food was ok, I had a corned beef sandwich and it was just deli sliced meat and mustard on rye, pretty plain and boring for the price. They have a good draft beer selection and parking was easy at lunch time.

Just visiting the area and needed dinner before continuing our drive. Sort of wandered into 1850 Tavern searching on a map. Instantly rewarded when we walked in the door. Friendly faces, great staff, and an Irish style jam session greeted us. Wedge Salad and Shepards Pie were spot on. So was the Harp on tap and my wife's cosmos. It was late and we were so comfortable we bagged the rest of the drive home so we didn't have to rush. We booked a local hotel rather than worry about driving another 2.5 hours. That let my daughter continue enjoying the jam session.Thank you, Kieran and staff. I wish I had a place exactly like yours in my hometown. We will stop in again the next time we are in the area.Kid-friendliness: Family atmosphere when we were there

This Tavern is ok too meet up with friends or go out with coworkers, though I wouldn't bring my family here. Most menu items are priced fairly, including drinks. Food was hit or miss. Appetizers were all fine, including the calamari and wings. My boss enjoyed his burger and others at the table generally liked their food. The short rib was tender, but flavorless. It certainly benefitted from the gravy and mashed potatoes that come with it. My shepherd's pie consisted of lamb, which was nice to see. Many restaurants create it with beef, but that's not a shepherd's pie. There were two things I didn't like with it. Veggies were very undercooked and crunchy. Plus, something about the taste was off. Coincidentally, I had norovirus the next day. I can't necessarily blame this restaurant, but regardless, I wouldn't order this entree again. Drinks were pleasant all around the table and again, prices for them were fair. I smelled their curry at another table and it definitely intrigued me. If you visit, keep expectations at that for an old style tavern.

Great tavern! Beer selection is respectable. Their wings and shepherds pie are absolute highlights. There's a main bar area and then a back room that's a bit more quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful.

A little hidden restaurant. With food that feels like it was homemade with care. The Shepards Pie was made perfectly. I went back a few times and perhaps someone makes it differently. But the one chef who made the gravy mixture stew thickened with chunks and smooth lamb grounds mixed with the perfect mashed potatoes that felt as if clouds with accents of flavor bounce on my palate, left me desiring more to come on future days.
