Zulu Time Rooftop Bar & Lounge

The Thayer hotel is beautiful and the rooftop restaurant had awesome views of the Hudson River.
The food was not that great. My salad tasted funny in fact I got sick that night.
Would only go for drinks to enjoy the view.

Service is abysmal. This place could be incredible if a responsible adult or manager would oversee its servers who congregate on their phones at the bar rather than tend to their customers ?

Probably the WORST service ever. This is a beautiful venue, but the bartenders are the epitome of 20 something amateur. They are CONSTANTLY on their phones, take FOREVER to make a drink, and spend more time talking and joking with each other instead of working. On top of that, the white guy bartender from North Carolina PICKS HIS NOSE, and spits in a trash can...while tending bar.DUMP THIS STAFF, and hire find decent, hygienic workers!

Great view from the roof

Mediocre service and food quality; odd concept to have a sports bar in such a historic and elegant building. Really beautiful and scenic views of the river made it all worth it!

Beautiful spot on the Hudson River! We went to the Zulu Rooftop for drinks and a light dinner. Gorgeous views and a nice menu. They were busy and understaffed. But we were waited on by Kilee, a new employee, and she could not have been more delightful, friendly, and willing to find out about specific requests! The manager stopped by our table several times just to make sure everything was going well and apologized for any wait time due to staffing shortages. But the view was perfect, the food and drinks were great and Kilee was a breath of fresh air! We look forward to going back!

They are off to a great start! They implemented a new ordering system through your phone with food to be delivered directly your table, and I believe this is a huge improvement! Still need to work the kinks with making drink timing work in this system, but overall it was a vast improvement from the past service experience. The new cocktails in food on the menu are awesome! Spicy margarita was great and Tina poke was delicious. The new servers were great! I’m excited for the rest of summer at Zulu!

My wife and I and another couple went there tonight for the first time. We are local to the area and this was our first time at the Zulu Time Rooftop Lounge. The four of us had drinks and snacks. The drinks were superb and quite beautiful. The flavors were surprisingly layered. I've actually never had cocktails like that before anywhere. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big drinker but these were delicious. The staff was accommodating and professional in nature. Whoever manages this bar must really know what they are doing, because everything was perfect. With it's view of the Hudson, it was a wonderful place to spend an evening.
