Whats not to love. Its an old bar out in the woods. Fun place for a few cold ones, But be careful driving home down the twisty backroads.

One of the greatest places I've ever been. The people are very inviting warm. The beer is ice cold, and the price so inexpensive. The items behind the bar remind me of my younger days

It,s been awhile since I have been to Snyders as a matter the owner Chet was 18 at the time the same as me and my friend Ed Lipfert, this was the summer of 1964.Looking at the pictures it looks exactly the same.We just got out of high school and spent the summer in West Shokan, btw the beer was cold.

Very welcoming bartenders and crowd. Felt like home on a cold winter evening. Will find an excuse to come

No food at this tavern but Beverages and accommodating bar tender. We quite enjoyed going there after years of wanting to go.

Want to see an old historical bar that looks scary at night? This is the place. Everyone was nice, but the building itself looks haunted. Check it out!

I used to live right down the road in West Shokan. Every once in a while I would go down and have a drink or two and talk to Chet, the owner & bartender (then). It was a great experience set out by itself in the Cat Skills of New York. I can even begin to tell you how beautiful it is. Tell 'em Kerry sent you.

Drinks mixed at the 100% perfect ratio. Rum, 5 ice cubes and just enough soda the taint the color. All that for the best price I've had one for in a decade. Can't beat the place in my opinion.

If you want to go to a TRUE HOMETOWN JOINT then YOU better stop at Snyder's Tavern. The owner is behind the bar and the Old School Olive Alum are on the stools tipping'em back. Beer is cold and the Pepsi-Cola is in a can?...... a TRUE OLD SCHOOL GREAT DIVE BAR????.

If you’re a local, definitely a nice quiet little place to get a drink. Nothing fancy and if you want bar food it’s going to come out of a bag, there’s no kitchen.
