Juniper at The Vanderbilt

Looked so cute on OpenTable... but don't let that fool you!!! Got here at 6:20 and didn't see an appetizer until 7:20. An entire hour for food that was nothing special and the smallest portions I've ever seen. The staff was nice but seemed unprepared and unsure and no one knew the specials, no one could answer a single question, and everything moved at the speed of a snail!!! on!!! sedatives!!! And honestly, the food is just not good. Nothing stood out, nothing worth waiting an hour for, and definitely not worth the price. And the thing is... if they were busy, I'd honestly be like “okay, fine, it happens.” But I was literally 1/3 tables in the whole place. Hard to give any grace when it's that empty and still this bad!!! When it's finally Friday and you're excited for dinner out... this ain't it!!! No wonder OpenTable offered me 1000 points to come here lol. Update: We were so over it that we asked for the dessert (included with the prix fixe) to go. Ended up eating it at home in sweats and that was actually the best part of the whole night. The s'mores cookie skillet wasn't bad. So yeah... 2 stars instead of 1 and both of those stars belong to the cookie!!!

Juniper was a stunning location for an intimate get together with friends! It was a hidden gem on Long Island that I would highly recommend to anybody that wants a date night dinner with friends or small party! I had a party of eight go there for dinner last night and we raved about it all night and still today! Highly recommend♥️

First time since new management Brunch was fantastic We loved the old team but this change is going to be home run. 2Spring of oyster bay people are in charge. They are fantastic restauranteurs.

Unfortunately, this experience felt like a restaurant that just stopped trying. The food was mediocre at best and combined with the price, it is definitely not worth it. Definitely better value and food elsewhere.

I was interested in having brunch with my husband at this restaurant on a Sunday. Upon arrival, we found the restaurant to be less than half full, with a private party taking place in the private dining area. We approached the unattended hostess stand, reviewed the menus while standing there for a brief period, and were passed by three staff members who acknowledged us with 'someone will be with you in a moment.' Meanwhile, a young lady entered behind us, was asked if she was meeting someone, confirmed, and was promptly seated. We continued to wait but were not attended to by a hostess. We ultimately chose to leave. The restaurant's customer service was lacking and unwelcoming.

Stopped by yesterday evening for an early dinner with my family and had such a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful, with a charming patio out back that overlooks the pool—it honestly gives off vacation vibes. The food was fantastic from start to finish—every dish we ordered, from appetizers to entrées, was full of flavor. Cocktails were strong and delicious too. Our server was a total gem—friendly, attentive, and offered really thoughtful recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!

Our waiter was great, I believe he said his name is Gil? He was very attentive and encouraged us to come back.

I rarely leave reviews, but after my recent experience at Juniper, I feel compelled to share. This was my second visit—and definitely my last. Despite informing the server of a serious potato allergy, the dish still came out with potatoes. When I raised the issue, the manager apologized and blamed the kitchen, but this is the second time something like this has happened, which is unacceptable and dangerous.

To make matters worse, the food was far from redeeming. The steak was overcooked and lacked any flavor, and the chimichurri sauce tasted like it came straight from a cheap jar—if not worse. It was completely drenched in oil and inedible. Mistakes happen, but consistent negligence and poor-quality food don’t warrant another chance. I won’t be returning

This was the third time I ate at Juniper. Lovely setting. The first 2 times were outstanding. The most recent time was very disappointing because our waiter was hopeless. Not only was he inattentive but he made mistakes. We ordered a glass of a particular red wine. First he brought a glass of white wine. Then, although I repeated 3 times which red we wanted, he charged us for a different red that was more expensive. I spoke with the manager (who came by to ask how everything was) and he was very accommodating, did not charge for the wine. I will give them another chance and will go back again but if the next time is similarly disappointing, I won't return.

Went for Mothers Day Brunch and it meet all my expectations. Wonderful venue and excellent food

We went for brunch today (Sunday). Our server was nice enough but service in generally was incredibly slow. There was an event on site and it was explained to us that much of the wait staff was tending to the event. But the tables around us were seated and received their meals before us. We were seated for 1.5 hours before getting our food. The quality of the food was fine, but nothing I would be rushing to experience again.

wonderfully prepared and we were well taken care of. Will go back. Cant wait for outdoor seating to open.
