Upon delievery, not fullfilling the requirnments of customize writting on a cake

I have ordered a cake around 2 hours back from i8 islamabad branch, for delivery and not only that i have called the agent to confirm my order. He told the cake will be delivered in 45 mins. But when i again called after hours of wait they told me order was cancelled. And they dont even told me on their own. Pathetic customer service and customer satisfaction.

I placed an order 30 minutes ago for my guests after dinner... waited 20 minutes, but didn't receive any confirmation call or update. When I called to inquire, they told me I must have provided the wrong phone number or email.
If your online system isn't updated, please stop taking online orders so no one else has to feel embarrassed in front of their guests like I did... Thanks.

This review isn’t so much about the products as it is about the customer service at their F-10 branch, Islamabad. Layers team, kindly either teach your staff manners or consider getting better people. There were three men behind the counter, one of who was at the cashier. The other two were taking orders haphazardly, uncaring of those waiting for long. When you can see there’s a customer who is looking for you to take an order, and you disregard them, turning a blind eye and making them wait even more, it shows you don’t know how to sell. If you have one person who takes the order and one who packs it, kindly make it clear or atleast teach your staff to guide people. I am not going to read them off their faces what role each person has taken upon themselves.
Not only that, there was a customer from an institution who wanted their company sticker placed on a cake box. I fail to understand why your staff needed five minutes to stick that tiny piece of paper on a box. Even a sloth could do it faster. I wanted a cake and I had to tell both men three times that I wanted it and neither paid attention, just headless chicken like nodding their heads and ignoring me until there was only myself left in the shop and they decided to finally do something.
There is absolutely zero friendliness here. Absolutely no concern for customers who are waiting patiently. Absolutely no concern for a woman who is aged and should not be made to stand, waiting for you to take her order.

Cake is 1.25” high, frosting is 1” high, the diameter of the cupcake is only 2” and they charge $4.50 per cupcake! Cmon now. Take out your rulers and take a look at those dimensions. It’s simply not worth it at all. For that price you should be getting DOUBLE the amount of cake and that would still be expensive but at least they have a leg to stand on. Once and done for this place.
To the owner who answered they don’t charge $4.50….yes I am referring your shop. Is it $4.16 per cupcake? Lol. You think that makes a difference. The amount of batter and icing you give is ridiculous for your price. It is a TINY piece of cake which you try to make look big by adding an inch of icing. The result is a way overpriced piece of cake with the dimensions I provided.

Went in yesterday to ask if to cakes can be ready for the next day at 4 and I’d I could be pay for them they said yes. I went in today and the cakes were not ready and they asked me if I was sure the order was placed there which it was. Horrible service
It's very small place looks kind of dusty dirty place too bad don't serve not even regular coffee, cappuccino only which doesn't taste like. No not going back.

I got the 3 milk cake yesterday after asking the guy at the counter for recommendation. I came home and the kids were excited. We were all disappointed to find a frozen cake instead. I think it is pretty important to mention the fact that the cake is frozen. If I wanted an Ice cream cake I would have specifically asked for one. Waste of 30 minutes drive and $40 down the drain. I see it in the reviews I am not the only one that has happened to and they still haven’t took any corrective actions to rectify the issue to prevent future mishaps by either labeling it correctly or telling the workers to mention the important fact about the cake.
P.S. Only reason I am giving it 3 stars instead of 1 because I genuinely like this place and have introduced many of my friends to this business to their amazing cupcakes and lotus biscoff and salted caramel cake that I have gotten in the past.

If you call them 30-40 minutes later, all you’ll get is a generic apology and a request for an additional 45-60 minutes for delivery. This isn’t a one-time issue—I’ve had similar experiences twice now. I felt it was important to share this as an awareness review. Order ID: 246045.

My first visit to Layers was absolutely amazing, thanks to the incredible staff member who helped me. He was friendly, patient, and took the time to understand my tastes. He recommended the blondie, which was perfect, and suggested the cardamom chai, which I absolutely loved! it was such a unique and delicious choice! I had a lot of questions about their locations, services, and flavors, and he answered everything so kindly and thoroughly. He even went the extra mile by giving me the manager’s number for future personalized cake orders and any other questions or concerns I might have. This amazing service made me feel so welcomed and valued. I can’t wait for my next delicious treat and to try all the other flavors they have to offer!
