This is an overdue review, but no less great! We hosted my mom’s 80th birthday back in August. From the moment I contacted the restaurant, Hoss, the owner and chef, was wonderful to work with! He was very easy going, understanding, and a pleasure to work with.
We were supposed to have the smaller section of the restaurant since we had fewer people required for the larger, private room. Then, when we arrived the day before to drop off decorations, favors, etc. he offered us the larger room since it wasn’t booked for another party.
The staff working our party was also amazing. I wish I remembered their names to give them a shoutout. And, their catering menu was easy to navigate , very reasonably priced, and extremely delicious!
I would highly recommend hosting your next event at Monroe’s or making a reservation for a delicious meal!

Food is really good. But not astonishing. Warm bread... Service is great. Frank always made sure we were assisted and doubled ensure clients were happy. Appetizers are delicious. The vibe/atmosphere is nice, music is calm and perfect to talk, the crowd and regulars are very respectful. The bar seem really nice.

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. I have been coming to Monroe's for the last year and a half. The owner/chef Hoss is friendly ,thorough, and an outstanding chef. I eat there on a weekly basis and am never disappointed. All of my many friends that i have brought here share the same sentiment. So if you have never been there i strongly urge you to do so . The food , ambiance and service are outstanding ( a trifecta that is hard to beat) Oh yeah and the prices are y reasonable.

Great place for Marilyn Monroe fans. Food was great. I had the big ziti with meat sauce. We also ordered the chicken parmigian and the penne alla vodca.The stuff clams were super delicious. Beautiful restaurant and great ambiance.

I dined there with three of my friends for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent and we were very well attended to. They overheard us toasting our friend for her birthday and they provided us with a candle on our dessert. I am definitely returning there. 
I went to dinner with 3 other people from the first minute we were greeted,the waiter was always available if we needed anything, he was very thorough explaining the specials, good portions of food, fresh ingredients and reasonable prices

Four guys came in for a birthday lunch. We were a little thrown by the Marilyn Monroe theme but what the hell. We all ordered beer to start and bread was brought to the table. The beer was good but the bread was borderline stale. All of us ordered burgers some with cheese. They weren’t bad but none were cooked to the requested temp and none came with cheese. Maybe we came on a bad day. I don’t think that’s supposed to happen in the restaurant business.

Appetizers (Wellington bites and giant meatball) were good, not amazing. Fried calamari was excellent, one of my favorites anywhere. Not too breaded, salted perfectly, tender, delicious. Monroe cocktail was good. Veal chop special (veal valdostano) one of the best I've ever had. Tender veal, excellent sauce and more than a generous portion. Meat sauce was great, my son loved the French dip on garlic bread too.

My family took me here for father's day we waited over an hour for our food The food was poorly prepared and under seasoned my steak came out well when I asked for medium and looked like a piece of shoe leather there were other customers unattended i recommend they close the doors and learn the meaning of service and food prep before re-opening If you are looking for a good meal and a good experience this is not the place avoid at all cost
