Four guys came in for a birthday lunch. We were a little thrown by the Marilyn Monroe theme but what the hell. We all ordered beer to start and bread was brought to the table. The beer was good but the bread was borderline stale. All of us ordered burgers some with cheese. They weren’t bad but none were cooked to the requested temp and none came with cheese. Maybe we came on a bad day. I don’t think that’s supposed to happen in the restaurant business.

Appetizers (Wellington bites and giant meatball) were good, not amazing. Fried calamari was excellent, one of my favorites anywhere. Not too breaded, salted perfectly, tender, delicious. Monroe cocktail was good. Veal chop special (veal valdostano) one of the best I've ever had. Tender veal, excellent sauce and more than a generous portion. Meat sauce was great, my son loved the French dip on garlic bread too.

My family took me here for father's day we waited over an hour for our food The food was poorly prepared and under seasoned my steak came out well when I asked for medium and looked like a piece of shoe leather there were other customers unattended i recommend they close the doors and learn the meaning of service and food prep before re-opening If you are looking for a good meal and a good experience this is not the place avoid at all cost

Based upon online reviews and its proximity to The Space, we decided to dine here prior to a concert. Big mistake! From the moment we walked in -despite the early hour and the many empty tables - we were bombarded with noise. Lots of VERY loud diners, poor acoustics, and waist-high walls that”separated” the main room from a “back room” that was intended to provide some quiet and privacy. It accomplished neither. Salads were good, but the eggplant rollatini that followed was essentially tasteless except for an abundance of salt “masking” the overly-sweet tomato sauce. The veal chop special was just average - certainly not special in any way. The worst part was when we checked our bill, which seemed outrageously high given the minimal amount of food we ate. Out of four food items and three beverages, none of which were alcoholic (one was tea!), we discovered THREE overcharges! Our waiter apologized (“Oh, there must have been an error.” Oh, really?!?) and begrudgingly corrected the “mistakes.” We shudder to think how many diners who don't carefully check their bills have been ripped off. We still tipped the waiter - far more generously than he deserved - and left feeling truly disgusted by the experience. NEVER AGAIN!!!

What a great time, the food was amazing, Omar our server was the best, and made our entire experience outstanding. Highly recommend. Chicken parmesan and the chicken francese and the family style meatballs were delicious. Very reasonable, was actually quite surprised at the bill with how much food and drinks we had and how delicious everything was! Definitely going back!!!
We had such a great night at Monroe’s last night. The staff was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back.

Tried to make a reservation. Whoever answered the phone said to hold on and that they would check. Kept me on hold for 20 mins. And never got back to me. Now, they are no longer on my list.

Service and food were excellent. Large , fresh portions. Prices were very reasonable. Great location if you're to a show at Westbury Music Fair or The Space. Would definitely recommend!
