This hidden gem is phenomenal all-around!! David welcomed us with open arms and the ambience is very cozy! (the corner round table with the pillows was awesome!) The food was absolutely AMAZING! The specials (eggplant rollatini and the grilled calamari) were creative, the menu items were to die for, (the chicken rollatini and the salmon) and the desserts (pistachio gelato and the raspberry crumb cheesecake) heavenly!! Tonight for my husband’s birthday was so special because of Monroe’s! It was our first time there and it felt like “home.” We will definitely be back! Thank you all for an impeccable job! We highly recommend you go to visit Monroe’s! It’s one of our new favorites! I would give them more than 5 stars across the board, if the system allowed! 🥰

Was there on Christmas Eve. Service was slow, food was late and bad. Had to return the porkchops. Help didn't speak English.
Nothing good to say about this place except maybe the prices were teasinable.

The food was excellent and the service was amazing. I had such a great experience at Monroe’s and I hope to be back to try their brunch menu! The boneless beef rib and seafood risotto specials were amazing!

We ordered our appetizers and entrees. After 35 minutes, asked the waiter where our appetizers were. After 10 more minutes, he brought out our entrees and then our appetizers. He said the kitchen was backed up but the room was only half full. Worst experience ever and expensive.

Brought my friends here for lunch and the food and service was phenomenal. The servers were so attentive and quick. We wish they still had the bottomless mimosa option, but regardless we still had a good time. I highly recommend the Chicken and waffle sandwich 🤤

Monroe’s Restaurant @ 199 Post Avenue in downtown Westbury. It’s the location where the former “Benny’s” use to be. We’ve now had dinner there 5 times in the last four weeks; and every dinner was a home-run!

We had dined there before but that was almost 11 months ago. Since that time, the owners and staff have streamlined the menu and updated it; keeping the favorites and added some new dishes. We’ve tried a variety of appetizers such as Fried Risotto Balls; stuffed with Meat, Cheese & Peas on a bed of Light Romano Sauce. We also had the Caesar salad with the creamy dressing. Also tried the Tuscan salad several times: Mixed Greens with Cucumber, Tomato, Red Onion, dried Cranberry, Walnuts, and crumbled Goat Cheese, topped with a Light Creamy Vinaigrette Dressing.

Loved their soup, in this case it was the Shrimp Bisque; great rich creamy flavor loaded with pieces of shrimp. Or try the traditional hearty Pasta fagioli; we had that on another visit there.

For main courses on these visits we had a Chicken Avocado Sandwich (GF), a Buttermilk Fried Chicken Cutlet served with Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles, topped with Avocado & Chipotle Aioli on a toasted Brioche bun. It was breaded and perfectly light. Also as a “special on one of our visits we had medallions of Pork Tenderloin in a brown chestnut sauce with roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. That was so outstanding we enjoyed that on two separate visits. Another outstanding dish was the grilled Branzino served in a Garlic Lemon White Wine sauce.
We closed out our dinners with expresso, cappuccino, gelato and complimentary Limoncello.
Service was excellent and attentive, consistently checking-in to insure everything was good, and that we were satisfied with everything. Fabulous dining experiences for us there as we have returned and returned again.

Sat at the bar with my date last week and the bartender, a lady with curly hair pulled back in a bun, kept giving weird looks together with a guy wearing a black shirt, salt and pepper hair. If looks can kill… because they were completely unfriendly, rude and made us feel uncomfortable, looking at each other and looking at us making faces.

I was a long time customer of Galleria Ristorante in Westbury which recently closed. I was looking for another local Italian restaurant and decided to give Monroe’s a try. I was so pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and delicious and the service fantastic. I’m so happy to have found Monroe’s and it will definitely become my new local go to.

Small portions for the price. When toast is offered to go with an omelette,it should be TWO slices, not one. Could barely find the promised artichoke hearts or feta in the Norma Jean omelette. Challah French Toast was enjoyed by my lunch companion.

The food was excellent from start to finish. Risotto balls, fried calamari, octopus, and clams casino all so tasty. Entrees were outstanding. Pork tenderloin with chestnut sauce , pork chops with hot peppers and shrimp and scallops scampi were cooked to perfection . Our servers were very attentive and personable. We will definitely return!!

This was our first visit to Monroe's but it won't be our last. Service was very attentive. The varied menu offered us many choices. The Ribs and Chicken Francese were delicious. We ended with an amazing Tartufo. Do not hesitate to dine at Monroe's.

Last Friday night we had a friends reunion in NYC, I decided we should eat here as I stumbled across this restaurant as I was browsing on google maps. And boy was it the right decision?. The restaurant is so fancy and romantic , The food was amazing and the service was great!
I ordered the steak and seafood pasta and it blew my expectations out of the water. The steak was cooked perfectly the way I like and the pasta was full of flavor even though a bit salty! My friends had the pork chops and they kept praising it the entire time! I have new love for italian food after my experience here. All the staffs and our waiter Frank are super friendly and personable which made the time there so much more fun! We enjoyed our time there sooo much, I can’t wait to come back and bring my family here ??
