Asked for our check. It came in all Spanish, zero English đ¤Śđ˝ââď¸ why?? Anyways $180 I looked it over and it was def not our check. I asked the waiter to look it over and explained it didnât look like our order. He responded with yes it is. I said look again. He went back to the pos with no words clicked a few buttons and came back with a new check for $112. The check had the same table number and information on top with some items overlapping. Clearly they added stuff with hopes that we wouldnât realize? It was very evident that we didnât speak Spanish. No apologies, no kindness nothing handed me the check and walked away. 1) receipts shouldnât be in Spanish and 2) if you make a mistake own up to it at the very least apologise.

Usually we have a decent experience here but this time was so different. I went with my gf for dinner today we ordered 2 pasteles and a chicharrĂłn with an arepa. The pasteles were super cold in the middle and so was the arepa. We decided to not complain. We ordered steak for dinner one was blue in the middle. Barley cooked we did order it med rare but it was BLUE!! My gf ordered med and it was blue also. Super raw. We asked if they could cook it more and it was fine after but this was after we had a horrible experience with the arepa and pasteles. To top off the night, my gfâs rice had a hair in it. At this point every single item we ordered there was something wrong with it. We decided to not complain about it and just pay and leave. We are SO disappointed that we spent $130 including tip for a terrible meal. And the owners will probably see this and do NOTHING. too bad the marisco soup is good..

The food was really good, and the portions were hugeâwe couldnât even finish it. However, the service was very disappointing. We arrived at the restaurant at 9 pm, while the closing time was 10 pm. Despite this, the waiter kept hovering over us to take the order, and even while we were still eating, he placed the bill on our table. It felt very uncomfortable, almost as if we were being rushed to finish quickly, pay, and leave. Because of this, Iâm rating the food 5 stars but the service only 1 star.
I recently visited Pollo Paisa in Long Island with my mother and our certified eight-pound Yorkshire service dog. When we arrived, the restaurant was extremely busy, and we had to wait about 25 minutes despite having a reservation. Once seated, our dog remained quietly under the table the entire time.
However, the manager or owner approached us from a distance and, in a loud and rude manner, told us that our service dog was not welcome. Despite explaining that she was certified and well-behaved, the managerâs behavior was uncalled for and extremely humiliating. As a result, we were forced to leave the restaurant without having our meal.
This experience was very disappointing and frustrating, especially considering we had already ordered. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and becomes more accommodating to patrons with service animals.
