Anytime I've ordered take out from this place its been fresh and delicious and usually always ready by the time i get there. I must say I haven't been too crazy about eating in there cause there service really isn't the best. Waiter/Waitresses don't really have any personality and my waiter tried to charge me extra for rice and beans that was suppose to automatically come with the shrimp dish i usually get from there. Besides the dining in aspect, I will return for take out cause I do enjoy the food.

Awful quality of food, overpriced and poor value for the money spent. Paid $15 for a large nachos out of a bag that probably cost them $1 with guac that was mashed avocado with little to no other ingredients. The most expensive Burrito on the menu that I paid was $17 served with very little strips of “ribeye” beef, fries, bean paste and sauce! See the pic. I didn’t eat the half after I opened it. One ribeye taco was $9! Ridiculous! Spent $130 and we ate like crap! The tip percentage was calculated after tax - should be pre-tax!
The servers were nice gave me a free fish taco to make up, not good either! The ambience was OK, but will not come back! Will never recommend!

Overall, the money spent was not worth the quality of food. We’d rather spend my money and time elsewhere!

The barria tacos were pretty good. However, the “large guacamole “ and chips for $15 is maybe the worst value outside of a stadium. Should be half that - the Al pastor taco was dry as a bone - wouldn’t get it again.

My husband and I have been going to Tacombis across New York since 2019. So sad that the quality has really gone down hill. Here the produce was brown and not fresh, everything was overly salty but somehow lacking flavor. The staff was incredible though. The manager deserves a raise.

The flavor of the meat is very bland & the tacos al pastor are super greasy. They’re definitely overpriced for the amount of meat they put into the tacos. Their chips are super salty! I don’t think they know what authentic Mexican tacos are supposed to taste like
 There’s definitely better spots around!

As both a paying customer and an Uber driver, I need to expose how absolutely shady this place is. I recently picked up an expensive $400+ catering order from Tacombi, and not only did they steal my tip money (the customer left $53.24, and I only saw $10 of it), but they also showed zero regard for proper packaging or respect for drivers.

The order wasn’t wrapped in cellophane or secured in any way. Just thrown together. The result? Grease and sauce spilled everywhere, all over my clothes. I had to drive an extra 40 miles round trip just to replace what was ruined. Between lost tips, ruined clothing, wasted gas, and unnecessary stress, I am down nearly $150 from ONE order.

When I went back to the restaurant, management played dumb, refused to take accountability, and brushed it off like it wasn’t their problem. That is beyond unacceptable.

Tacombi clearly doesn’t care about the people actually keeping their food moving — the drivers and customers. They cut corners, pocket tips through shady third-party payment processors, and treat us like we’re disposable.

BEWARE: This restaurant will steal tips, ruin your order, and leave you footing the bill for their incompetence.

Atmosphere is good but the food is shit. There are much better options around.

Awesome taco and quesadilla spot. Staff is always super friendly and it has great indoor/outdoor seating. Always a top choice when I'm in the area

Fish taco came completely uncooked and hard as a rock (basically old, uncooked, bad fish). Took one bite and almost threw up. I politely asked them to take it off the bill, which the waiter did, but he replaced it with an additional steak taco which was $2 more... not sure if the guy was trying to be clever and pull a fast one or if it was a mistake, either way the manager tried to do the same thing but after I asked him politely a second time he did eventually take it off the bill... in any case I won't ever return. For what it is worth the Tacombi in Manhattan has always been pretty good!
Did give them 2 Stars for the Atmosphere because it does have a pretty sick (albeit partially obstructed) view of Old Country Road.

I use to like Tacombi but I was so disappointed with my recent experience there. I went there last week to order takeout. I was told to go to the bar to order but when I was ordering, the person who took my order seemed like she didn’t care for us to be there. I ordered a quesadilla which didn’t even take too long and to my dismay, the quality of it was actually horrendous like it was just thrown together. Didn’t feel like a quesadilla at all and was so small. I could even just open it as it was just a regular taco. So disappointed that I’ll be thinking twice before I even come back here
