Delightful Italian experience! We started with sautéd calamari and the Ceaser perfect for the both of us. The penne a la vodka was aldente and creamy, and the halibut was perfectly cooked amazing with the potato and escarole combo. Exceptional flavors, friendly service a must try! True hidden

We come here often and the service and food is always good. Tonight was the BEST experience we have had here! New waiter Alex was amazing! He was so personable, so engaging with us, continually making sure we had everything we needed. He also makes an amazing French martini! On top of the amazing service I asked for something that was not on the menu and they were more than happy to accommodate me. I got a pork chop valdostana. The special was veal valdostana but I don't eat veal so they made it with a pork chop instead. To say it was delicious is an understatement. Definitely going back soon especially when Alex is working!!!

Our waitress Nancy was outstanding! My husband was not totally happy with his pizzette (tasted good just crust was a little too thick for his liking)and she insisted on taking it off the bill even though we said it was not necessary. Will definitely be going back.

Very warm restaurant, owners and staff wonderful. Food was very good and we got a surprise plate of caponata that was one of the best versions I've ever had. Nancy our server was lovely. This is the neighborhood restaurant everyone wishes they had.

We hadn't been here in about a decade, but are happy we returned. As before, easy parking, Saturday night reservations (for four) honored. We sat at a table next to Botticelli's Birth of Venus (on the wall). They put out, and we enjoyed, what seemed like some soft fresh rolls and butter for the table. My wife ordered light, starting with a salad (that was mostly different types of lettuce). Her entree was zucchini noodles topped with shrimps, tomatoes, spinach and what looked like white cannellini beans - good except that it was too oily. She shared some of the tartufo for dessert, which is what she enjoyed the most. I was happier with my entree, chicken parmigiana, and asked that it be made with marinara sauce, to go light on the mozzarella cheese, but heavy on the sauce, and had spaghetti instead of ziti on the side. There were enough cutlets to save one for tomorrow, but I skipped appetizer and dessert, so I ate them all. The spaghetti was ever so slightly al dente ... just right. The decaf cappucino was perfect, even without the very good and complimentary slice of biscotti that came with it. Moderately priced. Experienced and helpful waitress. Improved over the years.

We came for lunch after not having been here for many years. We had lunch specials- salad, eggplant and a personal pizza. the food was really good and portions big. This place will definitely return to our Italian rotation

I’ve been to Venere a few times. Every time I leave happy & full! Venere is old school Italian and ticks all the boxes when it comes to delicious pastas, entrees, appetizers, the works. Wait staff is sweet and approachable. Owner is always there and is a very nice guy. Go here if you want great food from great people!

We went to celebrate our twin grandson's birthday here last night and everything was delicious. We used to come here about once a month for years but for some reason didn't come back after Covid and now I am sorry that we had an "out of sight, out of mind" experience here and it has been put back on our return restaurants list. We had a Caesar's salad and it was not as good as it used to be, but the entrees were excellent. My husband had the veal chop, I had the Zuppa de Pesce, the kids had shrimp parm and spaghetti and meatballs and everything was really good with very nice sized portions. We will definitely be back soon!

We went for a date night at Venere's. Staff was very attentive. We started off with the Baked Clams Oreganata which were probably the best I've ever had and I've had them before at Venere's. I had the Chicken Mediterraneo and my wife had the Spaghetti Per la Vita which were both outstanding! Can't wait to go back again. PS - I do think they wine was pretty expensive and they should have lower priced options.

Went for my mother in laws birthday dinner with our family. Calamari and mozzarella and tomato were very good. I like mozzarella cut thinner but it had nice fresh basil shredded on top.. Definitely a clean fry on calamari. Our salad was a nice mix. Very crisp and fresh. My Aperol spritz was delicious with a nice slice of orange. I had the filet of fish which melted in my mouth. Highly recommend the fish. My husband had a pork over mashed potatoes he said it was a little fatty. My daughter had grilled chicken with broccoli rabe and garlic, very good. Others ordered chicken parmigiana and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. We had mousse dessert, cannoli and cheesecake which were very good. The decor is basic.. nothing fancy but a a reliable local Italian fare restaurant. Wish the atmosphere was more lively but all in all thumbs up. Fish was fantastic!

Venere is an amazing true Italian restaurant. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you are in Italy. The staff always greets you with a warm welcome and makes you feel at home. The bread is out of this world, made fresh and served warm, and melts in your mouth. The appetizers are on a different level. Everything makes your taste buds burst with the elegant flavors, and the freshness is like none other. The pasta and main courses are perfectly plated. The meat is tender, flavorful, and juicy. The pasta is made fresh, and the sauces are hand-crafted and made perfectly. The desserts are authentic Italian and pair well with the most amazing espresso martini( and I am an espresso martini snob). I have never had an espresso martini that is made perfectly with a fresh espresso. The owners, Angelo and Frank, are welcoming, making sure every dish is made perfectly, and they ensure every customer experience is enjoyable. Venere is an excellent place for family dinners and celebrations, and the catering is out of this world. Venere is numinal. Be sure to check this place out if you haven't. It is a must-eat at a restaurant.

Myth Sickle

I recently visited this town and visited a tavern across the street I sat at the bar and talked to a man there who told me about a kid he met a few months ago who told him stuff of what happened to him working at this restaurant. Apparently the weight staff used to be pretty hard on him and call him mentally slow in the head (The R word) anytime he would mess up. One of the weight staff used to put his arm on his shoulder and wag his finger in his face and say "you are slow in the head" and the kid did in fact have problems with stuff like that. The guy went on to say how he feels bad for how the kid was treated and hopes for the best for him now. I have returned home and felt I needed to write this as it is horrible for what went on there. The guy told me how the bussers were told to take breadbaskets from customers who eaten from them. To take them in the back and inspect the ones with no bits taken out of them and throw them in a bucket and they freeze them and resume them the next day. They had to do this even if the bread was touching other pieces with bits taken out of them. Will not return truly disgusting
