I go to a lot of restaurants and I've been to Aberdeen 4 or 5 times. The dishes I've had have all been mediocre and/or bland and none of the staff seem to care about anything. They never check on a table and you have to flag them down like trying to get a yellow cab. On this visit, they brought one entree and my colleagues didn't come for another 4.5 mintues. The one thing I can is in the last 5-10 years I've been there they have been consistent.

Really good dim sum served all day till early evening. Popular in the know kind of spot, location is a bit hidden, no real street signage. Make sure to call ahead to see how busy or make a reservation.
Vegetarian options: Chinese broccoli w/garlic is amazing!
Parking: The usual metered city street parking.

This was the longest wait for food that I’ve ever had at a Chinese restaurant. They didn’t even give us noodles to snack on while waiting. When they finally brought the food after an extremely long wait, they brought food for two out of three people at the table instead of all at the same time which is poor management.. I imagine they were shortstaffed, but that’s not an excuse. The two people were almost done eating before the third person got food. They also didn’t offer fortune cookies or any kind of treat after the meal. The food was actually pretty good, but we wouldn’t go back due to the long wait with poor service. They need to staff the place better. It was probably short-staffed, and the owners need to train the waiters better to check in with people more often. They could also use a renovation.

This was maybe the best Chinese dinner I’ve had in a long time. Authentic, quality ingredients, well made. The atmosphere is exactly what you might expect in NYC’s Chinatown (though the space is a bit bigger). Really good.
Vegetarian options: Large vegetarian menu. Lots of options.

Not well maintained place.
Soiled/disgusting carpets, some of the dishes not freshly made.
In an empty restaurant, we were given a table next to very loud people and when asked to be given a different table in a more quiet section, the answer was negative.
On top of everything else, our credit card was not given back to us-unfortunately we only noticed the day after-until two days later.
Very bad experience, we will never go back!

The shrimps were very good and tasty. However, the lobster that we ordered came out it was very rubbery and did not taste like anything that was fresh. It was disgusting. Overall the vegetables were not as fresh as it should’ve been write this as a neutral perhaps they can improve on their service and their food .

This place was really something! Located in the lobby of the Mariott hotel, was craving dimsum.and this place did not dissapoint! Food was delicious especially the spicy seafood and eggplant dish. Convenient ordering using qr codes and service was super quick with friendly staff. Will definitely come back!

As I meandered through the lively streets of downtown White Plains, I decided to ask passersby about their favorite Asian food haunt. Over and over, Aberdeen Sea Food and Dim Sum was highly recommended. To my delight, their suggestions did not fall short. Located conveniently at the bottom of Residence Inn, the restaurant was buzzing with activity. I indulged in their flavorful Hot and Sour Soup, generously filled with an array of vegetables, Shu Mai, and delectable Shrimp Fried Rice.

Anticipate a longer wait time to get seated but it's worth the wait! Highly recommend the shrimp crystal dumplings and the sesame balls.
Also, the restaurant is found inside the Residence Inn on the left with a metal door. We wandered around the building lost for a bit because we weren't familiar with the area.
