We ordered takeout and got the meat lovers box - 2 beef, 2 chicken and 2 buffalo chicken. The beef were the best and very good. The buffalo chicken were good and the chicken were okay. When we go back, we will get more beef than either chicken option. The empanadas are cooked perfectly and are the right size. They are also a good value. The sauces are delicious but small compared to the empanadas and get used up quickly.
Grabbed 2 empanadas: one beef, and one chorizo & cheese. The chorizo & cheese tasted good, but the filling was kind of blended into mush, so you couldn't really tell it was chorizo any more. The beef was far better...really, really good, perfect textures, great flavor with a nice bit of heat. The problem with the place, though, is the pricing. I ordered and paid for 7 empanadas.
When I got home to my disappointment there were only 6. I’m really big on attention to detail which is why I’m mentioning it.
The empanadas, themselves were delicious. I would go back for that reason alone but I’ll have to start opening the box for quality assurance purposes going forward?
