have had better Indian food...chicken was tough....was suppose to be chicken malai kebab which is beautifully marinated so it is tender and succulent...this was far from it. Ver disappointed
Great service from Sam and food was even better. Very helpful finish was his magic Indian tea which took care of one of the guests.
The food here was outstanding. The mulligatawny soup was the best we had ever had; in fact, my husband said it was the best SOUP he ever had! The more traditional dishes were really delicious. We ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken saag, chicken vindaloo, and chicken biryani. The only dish that was missing something was the tandoori salmon. It was cooked well, but a little fishy. I put some of the saag sauce on it, which worked very well. The garlic naan was puffy perfection. The service could use some improvement. Our server was very nice, but he didn’t always understand what we were asking for. The owner, Sam, spent a lot of time talking to us about his passion for cooking, and they were kind enough to bring my son some cake for his birthday. We will definitely be back!

Really good food. Kind of fusion Indian. Lots of traditional dishes but creative ones as well. Nice staff.
We love this restaurant! The food is delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. The owner is always so warm and inviting. She makes you feel you have come to her own home for a meal.
Service staff could not understand the Indian menu, Kulchas were good , however we ordered Paneer, onion and Gobi Kulchas and got only onion and 2 gobi, which they tried to pass one as paneer, Reshami Malai kebab dry and hard, Paneer in spinach was rubber, and then the last straw was when they tried to pass a gulab jamun as vanilla ice cream with the chocolate cake..and then to top everything they added a service charge of 18%....only place that have no confidence in their service do so....on the whole a very bad experience...
Food was only ok. The servings are very small for the big prices. There are better Indian restaurants in the area.
Overall ambience was so cozy and pleasant. Food was so delicious! Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for flavorful, fresh Indian food.
I have been there before and really liked it — mainly cos the manager was there. This time the staff were poor. Sad — the food is good!

When one asks waiter for some hot water to dilute the tea and they bring a pot with 2 ounces of water in it, one has to wonder! But the food is always delicious, and the management will cater to any food preferences you request.
The food was good however the waiter didn't know about restaurant week and they didn't have a Pinks menu for restaurant week.
We showed up at 6.00 pm on a Friday. We were greeted promptly and given menus. Then.... nothing!!! After attracting attention, we ordered two appetizers and one main dish and a naan. More than adequate for two. The food was tasty, the naan superb, and like all Indian restaurants outside Manhattan, you get rice with the entrees. Now the other stuff: the menu has lyrical descriptions for the food, so it takes describing. Some absurdities are calamari Punjabi style: absurd because Punjab is landlocked in central north India and the average Punjabi may not have heard of octopus. A”lassani Gobi ” was tasty but nowhere near what one finds elsewhere: it was near raw cauliflower in a mostly sweet coating. The entree was excellent Of note, the restaurant was full by the time we were done, but I was the only Indian there!! Also, a half Hour after we arrived, the owner ( I presume) arrived, and suddenly service picked up. He stopped at every table to chat. Also, the wait staff were some form of ethnic (not Indian) who were almost intelligible, a problem when they were the only ones there! Summary: food good service iffy but don’t have high expectations
While the food was tasty, the overall experience was so poor that I don't know if I would return. We waited tens of minutes (20-30???) for: orders to be taken, for: food to arrive, for: plates to be cleared and bill to come. We were there, in total, for 2 1/2 hours because the service was so slow and bad. We were told that new staff was working that night but, still, that should not excuse the terrible service.
We were introduced to Coriander Modern a few weeks back and have since been back three times. The food is outstanding, and service was terrific as well. They have a sister restaurant in White Plains, and yes, we ate there and the food and service are equal. We believe this is one of the best all-around Indian restaurant in Westchester.
