Huge healthy sandwich Tuna and multi grain bread. I just bought a sandwich, brought it back to work and gobbled it down. Just delicious for only $6.95. I eat their shrimp salad regularly. I have to say that the" banana overnight oatmeal" with maple syrup looked great too. This is Sam's of Gedney Way/Great American Barbeque, Caperberry Events preparation. I am biased because I love everything they make. This tuna light sandwich on multi-grain with mayo, lemon juice, tomato and lettuce was excellent. You can read a book or buy a used book while you are there. It is very easy to get to from the court houses and offices nearby.

This cafe at White Plains Hospital has the most delicious and healthy items! Friends staff and a nice bright seating area make it a great choice for a quick bite. Try the cappuccino!

I didn't get to try the food because the girl at the counter didn't want to make any more of the "all day" (that's what it says on the menu) sandwiches for me an hour before closing. Then she gave me major attitude for even asking.

Space is nice, great idea for that corner of the library. Food was inedible. They need to ditch the microwave in favor of a good convection oven. My Panini came out cold at first. The second attempt turned a mozzarella/tomato/basil Panini into a melted, gelatinous mess. "Organic" coffee meant over roasted .... not too good if you drink coffee black like I do. Price for soggy Panini + bad coffee was $10.95....that is about $10.00 too much.

Quick healthy food choices

It's located in the White Plains public library, so you expect to get a low end cafeteria. When you walk in, it looks nicer, the food looks fresher, and you think you are going to get decent food. You are not. The food is pre-made, and even with a description like "panini" it is microwaved. How hard is it to get a panini press and cook the thing for 90 seconds? It would make a big difference. As we walked in the counter person was cleaning the garbage pail out with plastic gloves on. We placed our order and she began to prepare our food with the same plastic gloves. Yuck- that went in the garbage. The sandwich that was prepared with clean hands was soggy, unevenly cooked and under-seasoned. So much for the food being good- this is bus station food, at best.

Officially it is opening sometime next week in May, however, when I went in last Tuesday, it was already open and we were encouraged by the staff to try it out. A great place to sip coffee while browsing the books and has a variety of salads, snacks and other beverages. Customer Service is pretty good. great place to hang out and enjoy the solace with book.

It is so awesome that the library now has a cafe! It is yet another reason to love this library. You can get coffee and a pastry and even buy used books! The hot food is not as great- probably what you would expect from a library cafe. Can't wait to come back after storytime.

Every visit, every book I check out is GREAT! Sometimes I go in searching for titles and information and the staff is extraordinary, pinpointing what I am looking for and helping locate in on the shelves, for me.

It's a beautiful place to spend hours with kids. The Trove, which is on the second floor is a dream come true for children. It has a beautiful play area, an enchanting castle, a pirate's ship and a trove of books and videos. I have sat there many a afternoons reliving childhood as I lost myself in books like Yearling, Despereaux and Potter! My six year old and me are totally in love with the Trove and the lovely staff up there. Sincere thanks.
