The fried chicken and plantains are two of the best tasting meals in White Plains. I loved the friendly service. Give it a try.

Great spot for lunch. We enjoy coming here to get their chicken and rice. Friendly staff and nicely priced. I would definitely suggest

To start off, the whole restaurant is totally different than what it was from the past. From the modeling in the inside to the menus. Two friends and I ate here, to be specific the fried pork chops, beef stew and chicken stew. The food was made quickly and just laid out by the counter for whatever reason, causing it to take an extra 10 minutes to get our food! The food was mediocre and we barely finished our plates. Servers were quick with the drinks besides the fact of our food sitting on the counter. Hours after we ate, we all felt gassy in our stomachs which is concerning since none of us finished our food. My buddy threw up in the middle of the night and my other friend has been passing gas along with me. Hope this place can pick it up before it goes further downhill.

Karamba is a Spanish dramatic expression used in a good or bad way. I would definitely use this word in a GOOD way to describe the food here. Dominican food is our fave and the mofongo was superb! I also had Morir sonando fresh juice and it was delish. The service is a little slow but the waiter was helpful in pointing out their most famous dishes.

Our waiter was rude. Even a yearr later still rude staff. Sofrito was better, why are they closed?

So I used to love going to karambas. Today was my first time in a long time that I went back for lunch and I got to say it has changed. They are renovating to a "modern Mexican" restaurant. The menu is a lot shorter but don't get me wrong the food was good regardless. Couple issues though. 1 we got there and we sat where we wanted which we don't complain 2 they were plus just loud music which was nearly impossible to hear us when we were ordering and you would think the waiter would've put the music down but nope. 3- we ordered and it took a while to get our stuff but good food takes perfection right? 4- they delivered us our food and had forgotten some of the sides we ordered. You would also think that with mofongo they would bring out the juice that makes it so good. But nope. We had to ask. 5- we finished our food waited for us to get the to go containers and then when we had to pay the waiter stood there waiting. Couldn't even look at the check to make sure it was good. Gave the card he took it, charged it and then handed the iPad to give a tip and waited right there unto the tip was input. I think they should've gave us space but yet again they are going modern.

Expensive and the food is gross. Everything seems old. Hard rice, day old sweet plantains, chicken stew was mostly bones and no stew. Never again, we need a good Dominican food restaurant in this area and this isn’t it

I'm surprised this place has mediocre reviews! I love their lunch special. Such flavorful chicken and beans.
