Niko's Greek Taverna

Great local Hartsdale place for authentic greek food. Good portions, extra care in everything (including the basics like fries). I only order take out, but the food is so good I've been meaning to stop in too!

Sue K. Manhattan, NY 013 8/7/2022 We have been to Niko's many times. The location serves as a great meeting place between NYC and CT. It has outside dining at the front of the restaurant. The menu was very abbreviated compared to our last visits and the prices were much higher. Although the service was excellent it could not make up for the ordinary meals we had-salmon plopped down on a large bed of rice and shrimp served the same way. No green accompaniment was on the plate. Between the overpriced meal and the just ok food, we are sorry to say we will not be back again.

Awesome spot for traditional Greek fare. We started with the Saganaki and it was absolutely delicious. I had a Gyro sandwich with fries and the meat was tender and tasty. My girlfriend got the Souvlaki Truck plate and she loved hers as well. Definitely check this place out.

My husband & I had dinner here with another couple this past Saturday evening. The restaurant is super cute inside & does have outside dining, however it is on Central Park so it was a little noisy. Our waiter was very curt & we definitely felt rushed. The busser / helper was so much more friendly & helpful. The food was good- we had pita & hummus, calamari, zucchini fritters for appetizers. 3 of us had kabob type dishes & my husband had the shrimp & rice. There was 1 skewer of shrimp with rice for $32.00 which seemed very expensive. He ended asking for another skewer as 1 was not enough. Between what I consider a little over priced, no parking lot, & a waiter who didn't leave a lot to be desired I'm not sure we will be back.

The calamari was good and the fries. My chicken and bread were tarred.

From start to finish, always a fantastic meal. So fresh! And the service is impeccable. You will not be disappointed.Beware....We felt like we were on the island and even decided to book a trip to Greece!!

Whenever my wife and I have dinner the restaurant never disappoints. The food is great and the atmosphere is very laid back. Rick the owner is a true host who takes care of his customers. The mixed grill for two was terrific

Authentic greek cuisine and very delicious food. Waiters were very friendly, especially Christhian. Food is a little pricey. Other then that I had great such a experience.

They don’t pay attention to any instructions you give them. The food is mediocre at best for the price, And the manager / guy with glasses in the front goes out of his way to be rude and unwelcoming. All he wanted me and my son to do was leave it felt like. Done coming here.

I wish I had read the reviews on other sites before trying to eat at this place. I ordered for pickup and was told it would be ready in 10 min. I arrived in 15 to give them more time in case they needed it. I parked out front, put 15 min in the meter, walked in, and was immediately ignored by the host. I waited about 10 minutes until I was given the attention to ask for the food I thought was ready for pickup (Chicken souvlaki truck style), and then was told by the host that it was $26 and I should swipe my card to pay. I swiped, and it turns out their system was down. He then spent another 5 minutes trying to sort out the machine. I looked outside and saw a parking attendant giving me a ticket since I was already in there for 15 minutes. I told the host, and he responded "It doesn't matter, your food isn't ready anyway." Unapologetic, slow, disrespectful. This place has no customer service. And the food doesn't make up for it at all. Go somewhere else.

Spanikopita is pre frozen triangles- can’t even taste the feta nor the spinach- I was expecting a fresh slice of home made pie. Ground lamb was greasy. Sub par.

The food is appetizing, flavorful, and decadent. The atmosphere is ideal for a first date, date night, or family evening out. Attentive customer service and they aim to please! The best Greek food I've ever had!

Great Greek staples, truck plate is such a good deal for all the favorites. The inside is spacious and nicely decorated, great outdoor space out front for warmer weather.
