A grilled chicken was ordered for Uber delivery, and that's how many potatoes they give... I called to ask if that was normal for a dish... and their response was "you have to call Uber"... U er did their job of picking up and bringing the food, the restaurant is responsible for packaging the food portions... a disappointment... and worse bad customer service.

I had the driest Pollo and Shrimp Saltado ever! There was barely a teaspoon of gravy, leaving the dish completely dry. When I called the restaurant to express my disappointment, the worker responded, “What did you expect? You bought the food two hours ago, so it absorbed the gravy.”
First of all, that response was completely disrespectful—and second, it’s just not true. There was no sign of sauce except for a light coating on the shrimp and chicken. Maybe this is how they make their Saltado, but I’ve tried multiple Peruvian restaurants, and it’s always been saucy, never dried out like this.
To top it off, I specifically asked if the plantains were fried, and the worker still gave me sweet plantains instead. I don’t know if all Peruvian restaurants make things differently, but this experience was very disappointing.
Wouldn’t recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Saltado.

I bought half a grilled chicken and the potato that were for 2 people, it was only like for 1, not to compare, but I wanted to give it a chance to see what this restaurant was like, but it is terrible, I won't return, and the 2 lunches I bought and consumed right there, super small and tasteless!
Super expensive and bad taste, they serve little, I won't return

Food was underwhelming yet over priced! The 1/2 chicken was good but stopped there. The Loma Saltados was a ridiculously small portion and flavorless, the churros were flavorless as well! Would not order again

First off, I want to start this review off positively. I do not live in New York, but whenever I come here and eat the chaufa rice from here, it is delicious. But the seafood is another story. Yesterday, I decided to order the fried calamari along with the usual order of chaufa rice. When I was handed my takeout order, I could immediately smell a fishy odor coming from the bag, but didn't think much of it, I thought, maybe it's my nose that is too sensitive. I walked across the street to where I was parking and put the food on the passenger seat, and within 1 minute the whole car was filled with a strong fishy odor. At that point, I was like, something is wrong, so I decided to try the calamari. And the calamari tasted spoiled. So I decided to go back to the establishment to let them know, and that I would like a refund or exchange. They proceed to argue with me that the calamari is fresh, and that it smells fine, after I take it out for them to smell. They said it's supposed to smell like that. I eat calamari all the time and I've never had an order that smelled like that. I tell them to try it if they don't believe me. They refuse, saying this is my order. I tell them, listen, just give me some plantains or something because I just want to get out at that point, I don't even care if the exchange is not fair at that point, because the calamari costs like $14. It takes a while for them to cook up the plantains but I finally get it. The issue is that the plantains turned out to be nasty too ?. They had the right texture of ripe plantains but not the sweet taste, the flavor was of unripe plantains. So, in summary, I took an L at this place, and would not recommend the calamari. If the calamari is tasting spoiled like that then I genuinely worry about the quality of the ceviche they sell. I pray that they were just having an off day. I also am a little turned off at the customer service at the establishment, it was very irritating dealing with them. I know that nobody wants to have to deal with a customer who wants to return or exchange something, it sucks, but it's not like I asked you to put on a smile and be fake happy about the whole process, I just ask that you not argue back and forth with me about some spoiled calamari ?

Everything was delicious. We came from Long Island to meet up with cousins and they said this place great. It did not disappoint. It doesn't have a lot of tables, but it was not too busy, at least at the time we went, which was 5pm on a Saturday. I also had a piña colada and it was so good. The others ordered a spicy ginger margarita and it was also good.

I have been visiting more than usual lately. It’s close to public transport and they take care of you right away. Speedy service is always a great plus. If the server gets swamped, there’s an additional person that helps out so it is really nice to see that teamwork come into play. The arroz chaufa, milanesa de pollo, causa limena de pollo are all really good dishes in my opinion. Poultratarian-friendly. There is also two tv screens to entertain while waiting for food to arrive. Haven’t tried their happy hour drinks yet but will do so for my next visit! They seem to create a very friendly experience for every guest/group that arrives, another great plus. Keep up the good work. Viva Peru carajo! ??❤️ You must try the alfajores if you have a sweet tooth!
