Arriving at 6:00 on a Saturday evening without reservations, my companion and I were delighted to be seated at a small booth in the bar area. Great seating, as it was comfortable and felt private. We each enjoyed a special cocktail, and appetizers of delicious cauliflower and truffle pizza and popcorn shrimp (complete with tiny crumbles of popcorn!) We then really enjoyed the chicken pot pie and cucumber and broccoli entre salad. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable. Very fine experience. Look forward to returning soon.

Been coming here for years. It has a fun, lively atmosphere. The wait is always professional and attentive. The menu changes sometimes, so you have fun surprises.

Service and food were both excellent. Love the new redesign as well. It's just a great neighborhood spot that always delivers! Highly recommend anyone looking for a good American bistro in White Plains to visit Sam's. You will not be disappointed!

Lunch with The Honey this afternoon. As an aside, both of us ate at Sam's a (very!) long time ago so this was almost like a first visit for me. I was totally impressed! The place is nicely set up, there's a full, well stocked bar and access is simple. There's ample parking behind the restaurant and an elevator brought us up to the dining room. We chose to sit at one of the tables in front of the bar area, as opposed to in the main dining room. A good choice. The service was attentive without being intrusive, helpful and accommodating. We asked to change an element of one of the Small Plates offered - no problem! The Honey chose the Chicken Paillard - grilled instead of fried (again, no problem). I had the Pecan Crusted Chicken served with puréed Sweet Potato and string beans. Perfectly seasoned and cooked, beautifully and generously plated. Delicious! We finished with coffees and the Warm Donut Holes, cooked to order! An excellent experience! We will definitely return.

A very nice, quiet, sophisticated place for a meal- I don't love the new menu. I much prefer the menu of Emma's Ale House right next door so would pick Emma's any day over Sam's, but Sam's is good for what it is. Sam's is more formal than Emma's and is good for more formal occasions. The food is good but just not my particular preference. The wait staff is courteous and professional. The parking is street parking, or there is a large parking lot across the street and a smaller one in back.

The brunch was great. My aunt had the Johnny Cake pancake, which was huge. I had the stuffed maple apple French toast. It was so rich and big, I couldn't finish it. It was shaped like a cube. I got almond milk for my coffee, which is great. There are a couple vegetarian options, which is good. Our waiter was attentive and it wasn't too loud at all. Parking lot in the back.

Sam's offers a great family-oriented menu, and no dish ordered was a miss. This includes a pecan crusted chicken breast, fish and chips, beef sliders and butternut squash soup. The interior offers set ups for a variety of occasions/vibes: booths, ordinary tables, high tables, bar seating and outdoor (enclosed, and in season, open) seating. The one constructive criticism is that service is a bit slow and sloppy.

Wonderful atmosphere. Bottomless brunch bubbles for $19 was a great deal. Food was delicious. Our server was such a cool guy. Very friendly and funny. I wish I could remember his name to give him his due credit. There is a parking lot in the back (sort of hidden) or you can park on the street. Either way it’s not an issue to find parking.
