Worst sushi I have had in a long time. I felt sick after a few bites and could not believe they would serve fish that smells this

This venerable sushi establishment has proven itself to be a veritable culinary gem. The flavors that danced upon my palate as I savored their curry and chicken were nothing short of extraordinary. As someone unaccustomed to such delights from a Japanese kitchen, I found my expectations not only met but significantly surpassed. Their portions are bountiful, and the atmosphere exudes a tranquil and harmonious aura. I shall make it a point to grace this establishment with my presence on a more frequent basis.

I want to support local business and this restaurant, being next to Daido (a wonderful Japanese grocery store) exudes vibes of a small, traditional Japanese joint. It is very unfortunate that the store is now mended by a rude male cashier, who has the WORST demeanor. Just rude and mean in all ways - even to regular customers. Not sure if he took over this sushi joint, it was originally owned by an elderly Japanese man (who’s very kind and always smile). Too bad the quality of food has declined tremendously, the sushi they give now is half the size. Will NOT recommend and visit again.

Friendly staff but the sushi platter I ordered was below average. The fish was not fresh, the eel nigiri and tempura roll cuts lacked sauce, and the sushi rice was of poor texture and lacking flavor. Koko Sushi in Scarsdale is better value sushi but they were unfortunately not taking orders for Christmas day pickup this year.

No longer just take out! They are now in the space attached to the super market. One of the best sushi spots in New York and super affordable. Definitely don't sleep on this humble but amazing spot.

Don't be fooled by the title of this restaurant. Even though it's called Sushi Katsu Takeout, this plate has a small counter service sushi bar and a few dine-in tables. In fact, I'd say another way to describe this place is a "sushi speakeasy." Why, you may ask? Well, it's pretty much hidden from view in an unassuming location attached to a Japanese grocery in White Plains. As for food, I've had a few of their sushi rolls as takeout on occasion, and all of the selections I've tried were yummy. But the real treat was when I ate inside in their quaint and inviting mini sushi bar. If you do decide to dine in, definitely order the Chirashi. It is just perfect! Closing thoughts: Take it from me, this place is definitely more than a take out place. It's definitely worth checking out if you are nearby. Oh, and one final shout out to the staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable about all the menu selections, and super friendly.

Cute little place with great quality. The owner makes you feel like family. Not just for takeout, you can actually dine in. Can’t wait to try their cold noodles during the summer

Great little place. Party platters are good sushi at a great price. Nice and helpful people as well.
