If you’re looking for REAL Egyptian flavor, you have to try Falafel Bites in Brooklyn! I just went, and honestly… this is the closest taste to home I’ve had in the U.S. Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and made with true Egyptian soul.

The falafel was perfectly crispy, the koshary tasted exactly like downtown Cairo, and the tahini sauce was on another level. The staff were so warm and welcoming, specially cherry it felt like visiting family.

“My first time visiting and Ahmed was so kind and welcoming! I tried the mixed platter with three different meats and two sides (I chose rice and salad). The salad was fresh and crunchy, the meat and rice were seasoned wonderfully. Every bite was delicious, and the portions were huge. “We visited Roast & Co Café on a sunny afternoon while waiting for my daughter to finish work, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise.
The moment we stepped in, we were struck by how beautifully decorated and cozy the place is. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you want to sit down, relax, and enjoy your coffee. The décor is charming and full of thoughtful details, it actually reminded us of the small Parisian brasseries in France, with its tasteful design and inviting energy.

The café offers both indoor seating and a lovely outdoor terrace. Since it was a gorgeous day, the terrace was full, so we decided to sit inside. The indoor space was lively but comfortable, filled with regulars chatting or working quietly on their laptops.
We ordered two cappuccinos, one regular and one made with unsweetened almond milk, which they had available. The coffees were prepared with care and attention to detail, and you could tell they use high-quality beans. The aroma alone was wonderful.

The barista behind the counter was friendly, cheerful, and clearly knew many of the customers by name. It gave the café a genuine neighborhood feel that’s hard to find.

We enjoyed sitting there, sipping our cappuccinos, and just soaking in the atmosphere. Even though we didn’t try the food this time, we took a look at the menu, there’s a great selection of light dishes, cookies, and pastries, and everything we saw being served looked fresh and delicious. You could tell people were enjoying their meals.
Before leaving, we had a nice chat with the owner, who was very friendly and clearly passionate about the place. It’s always nice to see a business where hospitality feels genuine and effortless.
Overall, Roast & Co Café is a delightful spot, beautifully designed, welcoming, and full of good energy.

“Some days you just want comfort without leaving home, and today Susan’s Kitchen was exactly what I needed. I ordered delivery, and they went above and beyond with every detail. The chocolate chip cookie with walnuts is the kind of treat that instantly lifts your mood, and the omelettes were perfectly prepared and so delicious. Their thoughtfulness really shines through, and I’m so grateful for the warmth they put into their food.“

“I was visiting friends in NY, and on the day of my return to FL, my girlfriend took me to Panino Rustico, where I met JACK, he was excellent and authentic New Yorker, with accent and all (adorable).. The menu choices are excellent, we had truffle fries, I had the P48 Panini (steak, mozzarella with peppers & onions) and to cap off as a desert, I had the Iced Nutella Latte... All were excellent. I loved the kippered salmon sandwich. I cannot get enough of their butternut squash soup and the varied fresh juices. The tomato soup is also good, and the tuna panini. Atmosphere: isnt a large place but they do have a couple tables and chairs and a nice flower/grass wall and TV with good music

Came on a Saturday, looking for different place for brunch. I was very surprised by how spacious the inside was. Really nice seating distribution compared to other shops around. The aesthetic of dark wood really cozes it up. I ordered the most random menu item, French Toast, even when there were awesome sounding specials. The menu is MASSIVE, and the food came pretty fast!
The french toast was impressively prepared, four slices with a veritable crunch on the outside and soft goodness in the center, fruit and whipped cream as a garnish. It also was a very light meal, even though french toast can be a heavy dish.
Definitely looking forward to coming back here to try other items!“

Vegetarian options: You can thier veggie burrito, or thier salads or healthy green smoothie and wraps.

“GERMAN DONER KEBAB - AN ENLIGHTENMENT If you're from Berlin, it feels like there's a kebab store on every other corner. So I can recognize and judge a kebab when I see it. Even just leaving Berlin and Brandenburg, the kebab experience changes within Germany. The further you get away from Berlin, the worse the kebabs get. Some time ago in New York, I discovered one or two places trying to make a kebab. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to find a proper kebab in New York, despite the name kebab. What was being sold was called a kebab, but had very little to do with a kebab and tasted even less like a kebab. All the more enlightenment then... the recommendation of a friend living in Brooklyn. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. And then the first kebab there since 2018 here in New York. I can't even describe how happy I was. It looked like a kebab, it tasted like a kebab and came pretty close to a kebab from Berlin. Really well made. Incl. tax 12.51 dollars is a bit steep, but still good value for New York. The portion was good and filling. Everything is really fresh and well seasoned. The bread was just as it should be, thin and crispy. This was pretty much the best kebab I've had in a very, very long time (with the exception of one visit to Berlin). I will definitely go back there again. GERMAN DONER KEBAB - EINE ERLEUCHTUNG Wenn man aus Berlin kommt, hat man gefühlt an jeder zweiten Ecke einen Dönerladen. Ich kann also einen Döner erkennen und beurteilen, wenn ich ihn sehe. Allein schon Berlin und Brandenburg verlassend wird das mit dem Döner innerhalb von Deutschland anders. Je weiter man sich von Berlin entfernt, desto schlechter werden die Döner. In New York entdeckte ich schon vor einiger Zeit den einen oder anderen Anbieter mit dem Versuch, einen Döner zu machen. Bisher konnte ich leider in New York trotz Bezeichnung Döner keinen ordentlichen Döner entdecken. Das was da verkauft wurde, heißt zwar Döner, hatte mit Döner aber recht wenig zu tun und schmeckte noch viel weniger nach einem Döner. Um so mehr dann die Erleuchtung... die Empfehlung eines Freundes in Brooklyn lebend. "German Doner Kebab" in Brooklyn. Und dort dann der erste Döner seit 2018 hier in New York. Ich kann gar nicht beschreiben, wie sehr ich mich gefreut hatte. Es sah aus wie ein Döner, es schmeckte wie ein Döner und kam schon recht nah an einen Döner aus Berlin heran. Richtig gut gemacht. Incl. Tax 12,51 Dollar ist zwar sportlich, aber für New York wiederum preiswert. Die Portion ordentlich und sättigend. Wirklich alles frisch und gut gewürzt. Das Brot genau so wie es sein muss, dünn und knusprig. Also das war seit sehr sehr langer Zeit so ziemlich der beste Döner (mit Ausnahme einem Besuch in Berlin), den ich seit langer Zeit gegessen habe. “I made my own bowl with green falafel and chicken shawarma. I was really pleased by the variety of toppings and sauces, as well as the options for Israeli couscous and/or greens for the base. My chicken was very flavorful, tender, and shredded perfectly. The falafel were a good size, very crispy, and well-balanced with herbs and garlic. I had hummus, very creamy, also well-balanced and tasting so fresh. The beets were sweet and tender. I also enjoyed the tender carrots and salty pickles. I highly recommend this affordable feast.“

“The food here is very good. They cook the food fresh in front of you. I went here on my lunch break one day and ordered two tostadas, they cooked the raw chicken right there. The food was well seasoned and it was cooked to order. As they were making my tostadas another cool took a tray of baked chicken out of the oven. It looked so good I almost canceled my tostadas for the chicken. Needless to say the tostadas were delicious. If you’re in the area give this place a try.“

“I like to eat their Chipotle Chicken Club Flatbread, Three Cheese Chicken Quesadillas, Miss. Vickie’s Salt and Vinegar Chips, and a smoothie Blueberry Bliss with no bananas it’s very good.
This has got to be one of the best smoothies that I ever tried. I love the flatbread so much it’s really good. I like the inside the most. The walls are so beautiful and it’s a lobster red. They have good smoothies here. It’s good to have it mostly during the summer whenever it’s too hot.“

“This was probably the best “Chicken Curry” I’ve ever had. The dish was accompanied by a side of cabbage that, at first, seemed boring. But I was trying to do it authentic all the way. The cabbage was delicate but still had enough bite to it which means they did not overcook it. I am super glad the I did. The dish was soooo delicious. You also get a side of sweet plantains which just end the meal superbly. They are cooking for real here. Looking forward to going back very soon.“
