We had our first date at the Eagle House so it will always be extra special to us. Warm, cozy, historic, excellent ambiance, and good food. Especially cozy around the holidays. ❤️🔥

Our main reason for going to eagle house is the bartender Connor and the service he provides. Connor is gone!? That's the last you'll see of us. I know for a fact, there are plenty of others who share this opinion.
Eagle House has a great atmosphere and the service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and professional. The food, however, was a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the experience. Still, it’s a solid spot for a nice night out, and I’d consider going back, especially for the ambiance and service.
Made a reservation, so no wait. We walked in and while it was loud, I expected it as I had been there before. I knew from my previous 2 times that it's a good place for food, or I thought so based on those 2 times. We got seated and ordered the Welsh Rarebit, got it and it was okay; I will fully take the its been a few years and I hyped it up in my mind to be more than what it actually was. Got soups and they were good, okay so we were looking forward to our entree. Everything was okay so far, so dinner should be good. He got the chicken pot pie, and I got the herb roasted half chicken, dinner arrives and we dig in. We both shared a questionable look at the pot pie, but okay its something different than we were expecting (we thought it was going to be like an actual pot pie), puff pastry with chicken pot pie filling put ontop okay so how did it taste? The pot pie was okay but it wasn't worth the price, okay so how was the other entree? Half a chicken, a small dipping cup of apple sauce, some mashed potatoes, and gravy; a nice classic dish that has homey vibes. Chicken was okay, wasn't anything too special, gravy was good, apple sauce was apple sauce, but my potatoes were bad. I found them off tasting and sour on my first few bites, okay I'll try some more to give it a chance, mashed potatoes were cold in the center, not room temp cold but actual cold, and still tasted off and sour. As we were waiting for the check, I asked my partner to try my mashed potatoes just to make sure it wasn't just me and my taste buds, he tried and agreed with me that they were sour and tasted off. Service was okay, nothing too special, place is loud and it was hard to hear my partner sitting about 2 feet away from me and thats fine and acceptable. What isn't, was our dinner. His was overpriced for what it actually was, to him at least, and mine was just disappointment for a place I held in my mind as good food on more rare occasions.

It's expensive, but in the current economy everything is, but the I've been going there for years, and will continue to.

Staff are efficient, friendly, and always approachable
We are regular customers of the Eagle House and we always enjoy it. Today we had two problems. Toward the end of our dinner something happened with the lighting and it was so dark we could hardly see our food. We were in the front fireplace room. Our server agreed that it was very dark too. Just as we were finishing my wife said she needed to go outside and she ran out. As I was paying the bill I noticed that I was feeling a little dizzy. I went outside to find her. She said she ran out because she was feeling faint but that after getting some fresh air she was feeling better. After going out I started feeling better too. We think that there was a lack of ventilation in this building today which means very stale air that can make you feel sick. We are not sure but it was strange how we felt.

The Eagle House is always an enjoyable lunch and dinner destination. It is one of the oldest restaurants in the Village of Williamsville. There is a variety of food to choose from. The staff is friendly and the ambience is quite warm.
