My family and I went back to Miraj on 10/4/25. The food as well as service was excellent. Being native to Persian food, we found our lunch, chelokabob Soltany exquisitely delicious. Bijan the manager checked back with our table several times to ensure everything was great. We will definitely go back to Miraj when we are back in NYC.

I use to have the dinner at this place while attending the General Assembly. This year Ordering dinner from this place turned out to be a comedy of errors — except no one was laughing. The food arrived with zero utensils. No fork, no spoon, no knife, not even a napkin. Unless the restaurant expects customers in New York City to eat with their bare hands, this is beyond careless. It’s the kind of mistake that makes you wonder if they even care about basic hospitality. Good food means nothing when you can’t actually eat it. If they can’t get the simplest detail right. It’s frustrating to receive food without the basic tools to eat it properly. It shows a serious lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer experience. Until they fix this very simple but important issue, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miriaj, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me straight to Tehran—elegant décor, soft Persian music, and a welcoming atmosphere that felt like home.
The food was exceptional. Every dish—from the perfectly grilled koobideh to the fragrant saffron rice—was bursting with authentic flavor. The tahdig was crispy perfection, and the ghormeh sabzi had that deep, soulful taste only a true Persian kitchen can deliver. Portions were generous, and presentation was beautiful.
What truly sets Mriaj apart is the hospitality. The staff were gracious, attentive, and genuinely passionate about sharing Persian culture through food. They took time to explain the dishes and even offered tea on the house, served in traditional glass cups with delicate sweets.
Whether you’re Persian or simply curious about Iranian cuisine, Mriaj is a must-visit. It’s more than a restaurant—it’s a cultural experience wrapped in warmth and flavor. Highly recommended!

Staff are very friendly, and there's only a couple of things that make a kubideh great for me: meat isn't dry or overcooked, and the tomato is juicy enough to add a bit of tangy flavor to the meal. Other restaurants have somehow missed the mark, and is why I felt so compelled to write a review for Miraj.
I'll absolutely be coming back in the future to try out the other offerings on the menu!
