Messina's Italian restaurant was a great find during our visit to upstate NY. We had a great time ordering vegetarian entrees. The special of the day (Wild Mushroom Ravioli) was great, as was the Eggplant Parmigiana, Penne Pepperata, Baked Ziti, Fetuccine Alfredo. Adding salt and ground pepper to the dishes (except the Ravioli).They are terribly understaffed though, even though they are doing the best they can and we had a wonderful experience.For some reason, the tap water that they served had things floating in it even after asking them to swap the pitcher and glasses. We avoided the water and had a wonderful bottle of Riesling instead.

The problem with this place isn’t the food it’s the workers and the owner. If you give the owner any constructive criticism he just places blame on customers instead of taking a look at what may be wrong in his restaurant.I never ate the food because I waited an hour and I was not served and drinks didn’t even come and we were there for an hour …there was no bartender that night And the waitress asked me how to make the drinks. I’m sorry that is not a professional I wish I did get a chance to eat but nothing was coming out of the kitchen or the bar. I guess you can blame that on me right?

We stopped at Messina's Saturday night for dinner, the food was phenomenal, everything from appetizers, to dinner, to dessert was on point. Drinks were excellent! They never disappoint! We highly reccomend if you are in the Windham area, you won't be sorry!

Appetizers were terrific. Tomato, Mozzarella and Prosciutto was excellent as was the Portobello mushroom. My Linguine Sinatra was especially flavorful served with warm bread and butter. Pasta was available in a half portion which is appreciated.

Called for 8:30 reservation Saturday night. Arrived 10 minutes early. Drove 30 minutes in the pouring rain to a garlic mill who's waitrese said " uh that's a no.." when the bartender asked her to seat us. Never again. Update...wow they did us a favor Vesuvio's was fantastic! Happy to seat us without a reservation too.

Wow. Went there with a few friends and his family. Had a reservation but we got there and waited 10 mins to be seated even though the dining room was practically empty. When we were finally seated the table next to us were complaining about wrong orders and food coming out out of order. We decided to give the benefit of the doubt. Oh boy. We got entrees before salads bread after entrees and the dishes each came out individually one by one. Heard the manager yelling at the staff even though she clearly does not know how to manage a restaurant even of this size. But don’t take my word for it, look at the low reviews, see how the owner reacts in an unprofessional way. DONT RECOMMEND!!

Walked in here for dinner on a Monday night and both the service and food were fantastic. We had the Salmon Alla Griglia and Grandma’s Meatball Pasta. Finished everything on the plate. Special thanks to Debbie for the great service

Comfortable, unpretentious, fast service, and an excellent selection of different pasta servings make Messina’s a regular for us. Prices and staff are friendly. Would rate it higher but the food is not five star, tasty, but not exemplary. Perfect place to go after a day of skiing. Or to just get out of the house and be served.
Had a wonderful time with a delicious dinner. Very friendly and casual with amazing dining experience. I can't praise the chef enough. Every meal we've had here has been a culinary delight.
