Great service and vibes with a rotation of friendly and personable bartenders. However, the vibes were so good that after 3 moderately priced draft beers and a few impulsive thoughts, I used their speedy WiFi to book myself a trip to go and hike to Mount Everest’s Basecamp on an 18 day long route.
Now, the bar staff, rather than interject after seeing me typing away with a huge grin as I nursed my third beer, gave me a cheers and a high five.
Had there been some crazy patrons, a barfight, or even just some local drama or general riff-raff, I may have gotten distracted. Unfortunately, none of those things happened on a chill Friday night.
As more tunes came from the juke box and the glow of multiple flat screens kept my bar seat a place of good vibes and confidence - I proceeded to then book myself a trip to South America. And, with the smiles of the friendly staff nearby, I defiantly opted out of trip insurance.
A night that started with the intention of enjoying 3 cold drafts and some good company ended with me spending a few thousand dollars on trips across 2 different continents.
So - come visit the Tipp Tavern and enjoy a beer or three and maybe even book yourself a non-refundable trip around the world. Check out @roulettetravel on instagram if you want to see the longstanding effects of a legendary bar visit.
Bathrooms were also clean.

We stopped in last minute for a quick bite and everything was amazing. Emily our bartender was great and recommended the flat bread which was amazing. lemon grass potstickers and buffalo empanadas were also fantastic!

Just ok, not impressed that much. Was recommend by a passerby. Went in and it was a very boring stale atmosphere, awkward, staff was staring at us weirdly the entire time. Had a beer and left.

The good: Excellent service! They were attentive and pleasant, and even turned the music down for us when we asked them to, as our hearing impaired relatives were having some difficulty hearing over the music. Tasty French fries.
The bad: The food was expensive for the portions. I purchased the loaded Irish sandwich, which was insultingly tiny. It was entirely unbalanced, with a good amount of meat but a lack of the sauerkraut and dressing to round things out. My partner got the bangers and mash, awkwardly stuffed in a shallow hunk of wood. I love the idea but the execution was poor, with the bean liquid and gravy on the cusp of dribbling over the side of the plate. There were three medium sized sausages that tasted more like a freezer isle breakfast sausage than a proper banger. And unfortunately the beans and gravy lacked much flavor as well.
Despite the A+ staff, I would not go back for the food. They have a pool table though, so maybe I'll return for a round of pool and beers!

Great food! Friendly atmosphere. Brisket Sliders are amazing
Thought we’d stop in for the first time and with the Greene County Pipe & Drum stopping by for a few St. Patrick’s Day tunes, it was the perfect time to do so. Planned to just order a few pints and cocktails and then move onto another place for dinner. We heard around town that the food was mediocre and overpriced. Should have stuck with that plan, especially after noticing most folks quickly left after the Pipe & Drums were gone. The inexperienced bartender wouldn’t allow us to simply enjoy our drinks and kept coming back to push for a food order. She oddly asked to hang onto my credit card so that she can “run a tab”. Did she assume we were there to drink all night? On top of that, she never returned my credit card. I had to ask for it upon leaving. Figured we’d order some nachos and sliders anyway because hey, how bad can it be, right? Wrong. The nachos barely had any cheese and the “salsa” seemed like they just opened a can of whole tomatoes, barely chopped up, and mixed it up with cubes of chicken and some other assorted salsa ingredients. It was simply inedible. After respectfully pointing out the nachos were bad, the bartender made the bizarre excuse that there were only two people in the kitchen. So… two cooks equals bad nachos? Oh well, should have known better. Noticed on our drive home that the other places were packed for a Saturday on St. Pat’s weekend. Hope they improve. It’s a small town and we want support the local establishments. Seemed like a decent Irish-themed pub but so far, no tips for the Tipp Tavern.

Legit paid $12 for two mozzarella wedges, so I guess it's like $6 in cheese per one, thought that was pretty crazy. Me and my girlfriend got sliders, she got brisket and I got bison and both of us thought the meat tasted sour.
In my opinion it is pretty over priced, mozzarella wedges, the two orders of sliders and a drink each. And we paid $80....don't really know what I paid for...I say attend at your own risk

LADIES!!!!! Don't go to this bar after dinner hours!! It's not safe!!! If something really bad ends up happening to you at this bar, you won't be able to find out exactly what happened! Owner says cameras weren’t working or he just won’t give up the footage! Bartender working that night won’t talk either!! Owner and bartenders know what’s going on and are still allowing him/them in the bar. And he/they are very comfortable being there. Knowing now, what I know and have found out so far what happened to me at this bar by a LOCAL(S). I think I have the right to write this review and warn you all, it is not safe. I am doing everything I can!
To all the local and vistor ladies please becareful and always have a friend with you and do not except a shot or anything from anyone even if you know them. Trust no one!!!
Food was fine, but overpriced for what you get. Nice enough atmosphere. Beer menu had no prices -one Guinness was $11!
