Mike is a gem at Jewel of the Sea! My family & I come to Jewel of the Sea weekly and love the most fresh & delicious wild salmon. Mike always greets us warmly and does an incredible job at selecting the ideal piece & consistently slices precisely the amount I request which is 3/4 lb. That is certainly a gift! My elder daughter loves the clam bake & side dishes! Displays are enticing & everything is kept immaculate. I look forward to receiving coupons & earning points. Highly recommend!!!

Fresh seafood and produce!I usually get salmon, rainbow trout, branzino or shrimps. I've also gotten scallops...all with no worries!Friendly guys at fish station and the have really great pre-cut vegetables for cooking.A little pricey.... but worth it if you're not there every week!

We saw a sign for a clambake as we drove by. We had to turn around. The guys at the fish counter were happy to accommodate my order and I was glad we stopped by! This was a great clambake! A great value for the high quality food we received. While waiting, I saw the incredible quality of fish. I can't wait to come back. Top notch!

I love the seafood dept. Always fresh. I have one question, is the shrimp wild caught? I ask because the sign doesn't say it is.
Considering the owner reached back out very quickly and offered a refund or come to some way to correct my displeasure of their baked clams I am withdrawing my negative and overly critical review. I think more time needs to be taken in preparing dishes such as baked clams. And certainly a taste test should be made before putting it on the shelf. The owners prompt reply has put me back on track to visit their store in the future.

The customer is NEVER right is Jewel's motto is! This market advertises 100% satisfaction on their website for wholesale business, yet when I called to let them know that the fileted snapper (at $35/b) was not good, they argued with me. We eat fish 3-4X/week and only by from Jewel when out on LI. We buy fish from one of the best fish markets in Manhattan and have never had wild snapper that tasted this odd. Do not buy from this market: they were rude and also, they DO NOT have prices posted. It would have been so simple to make good on this...Follow up on this review: I heard back from the store. It seems that their policy "we guaranty 100% satisfaction" doesn't apply to their regular retail customers. How about a simple I'm sorry instead of an argument? And yes, their prices were NOT posted that morning.

Their prepared seafood is Excellent & fun! On the day I went this week, there was a great variety- small soft shell crabs prepared 4 different ways (tried 2, can't wait to try the others), mussels 2 ways (marinara & white wine), and a variety of calamari. Excellent vegetable dishes too. The man behind the seafood counter even volunteered to warm what I picked, since I was taking them to dine outside (there weren't many people in the store, so I can't guarantee that they would do it if crowded). Truly a Jewel!
