“I’ve driven past this place countless times and finally decided to give it a try since my usual taco truck was closed. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The place is welcoming, organized and the young man at the counter was so sweet. He even offered to let me sample two other dishes. Excellent customer service and even better food. Today I ordered the chicken tostadas which were excellent. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu.“

“This place is incredible! The menu has a lot of variety and everything was very clean. Our waitress was an absolute legend!
The food... I just cannot believe how good it is! The creamed spinach is so fresh!! This was the best I have ever had! Mom had the quesadilla which had a perfect cheese blending with chicken and such wonderful guacamole. And the creme brulee was so creamy and balanced, it really knocked me out. I will be back many more times!!“

“Our first time visiting Monarca and it was excellent. I chose the cammarones (shrimp with mushrooms and tequila) with the charro. (The charro!!! ?) So good! We ordered the queso which was spicy and very tasty. Margaritas were so good. We all left stuffed and satisfied. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. I loved the decor, the seating and ambiance. I'm surprized to see some of the comments here. People do have to realize a new business doesn't just open and run like clockwork. It takes time for staff to gel and get a system down. Its unrealistic to not expect that a brand new establishment needs time to work out kinks. That's why Im glad we waited to visit until now because we were very pleased and will be back!! “Chapala Grill is in New Windsor out toward Vails Gate and it’s such a staple when we’re craving Mexican food. This restaurant isn’t your fast food type of Mexican. The details in the colorful carvings on the chairs and tables always make me so happy.

The staff and service are so helpful, attentive, professional.

The drinks, especially margaritas and sangria are delicious.

“Stopped at this restaurant on our way home and looked at other reviews and let's just say it did not disappoint at all and the reviews are legitimate! The food was delicious. We ordered steak tacos and nachos with homemade drinks. Food 5 out of 5, Service was great as well 5 out of 5 and we even made a new friend M. The atmosphere was good enough for this small and quaint location. I think the only Con is that the A/C was not working at its best during the heat wave and it was quiet warm inside. However, besides that minor inconvenience everything else was great. I will be coming back to this restaurant again!“

“I have a tradition of ordering tacos for my family every year for my birthday. Of course we missed last year due to Covid-19 shutdown. New owners now, but the tacos were even better than ever. My family couldn't get enough. Now I can get my son interested in eating there. (I grew up in Southern California and had one Mexican great grandmother so I take my Mexican food seriously. I also spent two summers in Mexico with my best friend's family.) So go and eat there....they are truly bilingual.)“

I ordered the grizzly and added a bit of salsa. It was so much food and the meat was cooked to perfection. Everything was high quality ingredients all wrapped inside a huge cozy flour tortilla.

“Most Authentic Tacos in the area. I’m from Arizona (Mexican food goes HARD) and this place was the best tacos I’ve had for NY tacos. I tried Cabeza, Suadero, Carnitas, Al Pastor and Lengua. All were great and would go here over anywhere else. Do I have suggestions since I’ve had amazing tacos being that I’m from Arizona? Of course, but overall the meat flavor and texture is what makes or breaks the meal. They definitely have that together! Which makes the rest of the menu probable to be delicious. Highly recommended.“

“I eat here with friends often and live fairly close. However the four times I have ordered at night to have food delivered, there is ALWAYS something missing. Tonight I got NO flour tortillas for my fajitas! Usually they would bring the missing item out to me but tonight all I got was "the mailbox on this number has not been set up yet". I can't drive at night so I had home delivery but I think I'm finally done with them.“

“The Taco Bell side is always really steaming hot fresh and delicious. I never had a burnt chalupa or a soggy Doritos locos taco. The nacho fries have so much of that amazing seasoning they never skimp and give me a plain boring potato. They give you five guys French fries level ( surplus of) cinnamon twist. Way better than the Chester and new Windsor location. Only fault is I can’t use my app here and I am a Taco Bell app girlie.“
