the pizza was expensive and the cheese looked inauthentic. the dough was falling apart and the sauce was pasty. there was also a weird plasticky aftertaste. you can get better plain slices for a dollar in nyc. would not recommend. a disgrace to italians!
Tried this place again. They just cant get delivery right. Always takes more than an hour and i live 5 min away in traffic. They don't answer the phone and there is no customer service. They say its on its way when its not. Pizza is good when you get it. Its a shame there is no owner supervision.
I got beyond meat with vegan cheese. The cheese melted so well! Can't wait to try more!
EDIT: Upon seeing my review, the owner contacted me. I am certainly willing to give them another try and support a business that shows they genuinely care about their customers experience.First tried Pizzabar a few months ago because they offered vegan pizza. It was tasty and we were pleased. Maybe we had low expectations for vegan pizza or maybe it was just better then. Last night we ordered a regular pizza and a side of meatballs. They were both completely tasteless. We ended up dousing the pizza with garlic powder and hot sauce which we never do. Thinking it was just the pizza we tried the meatballs - those and the sauce alone were bland. Very disappointing. Didnt even save the leftover pieces which NEVER happens in my house. Felt like wasted money.
Frequently pick up dinner from this restaurant. They offer reward points which can be redeemed for a discount. Their food is fresh, tastes good, and service is good
The large pies and square grandmas are very good. With toppings, it is about $25 a pie, which is reasonable. The large pies are very filling and they don’t cheap out on you. The customer service is great too. I would go back.
Fantastic pizza, some unusual topping choices that work really well together (truffle oil, caramelized onions, and mashed potatoes!!)
Have had their pizza before but last night decided to try their other fare and ordered entrees in via delivery (driver announced herself as doordash although we ordered directly from the restaurant). The order arrived earlier than expected which was great, but very disappointed in the quality of the food. Eggplant parm was dried out, too salty to eat, no sauce and a tiny portion. Chicken Francaise was overcooked, tough and inedible, but the sauce was flavorful. Will stick by better places going forward.
Great food, Great service! Kathy at the front counter was awesome! Thank you team!
Great pizza terrible management and service. The amount of times they've cancelled my online order 20 min AFTER ordering or showing up over an hour after placing the order is ridiculous. Why offer online ordering if you don't know what it is that you're doing. I'm pretty much giving up on this place. Unfortunate considering they're pizza is pretty decent
Restaurantji Recommends
I love that there is a personal pie option, now if only they sold vegan pizza by the slice like my other favorite spot! Our go-to is the BBQ Chikn Pizza. I recommend ordering online. Ordering over the phone they seemed to get confused and nearly charged me extra for things I did not order. Delicious overall, I recommend extra marinara on any regular pies.
It's a nice place to take a short stop and have a good slice of pizza, but I think that a little more customer appreciation would be go a long way. I guess that I woukd like to hear a greeting when entering and a please when given the price of my order, but I guess this generation in over all business no matter what they JUST DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE!!IT COST ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO AND THE RESPONSE WOULD BE GREAT!!but that's just me I guess.
We tried to order a pie w Numu cheese, a drunken grandma (vodka) pie, and a sausage roll. While I was on my way to pick it up, they called me back and said they didn't have the vodka sauce. So we went w a chicken parm pizza instead. When I asked which vegan cheese it was, they said numu, but it was clearly daiya (they have 2 vegan cheeses! Numu is $2 more though). we liked everything. the sausage roll was excellent, and the pizzas were good. It was expensive, but that's to be expected ($80 for the total including tax). so while we enjoyed everything, it did stink that there was no vodka sauce. I was really excited to try the drunken grandma
Upon walking in, I noticed that the pizza on display did not look fresh. My friend and I, as a result, decided to order two small, fresh pizzas. We had time-sensitive plans after the meal, or we would have gone elsewhere. I heard one of the employees behind the counter tell another customer that the food would be brought to their table when it was ready. Since we were also eating in, I thought the same applied to us. A long time had passed, so I approached to counter to ask about the status of our order and if it would be brought out or I should come to the counter to pick it up. When I did this, the employee with a brunette bob rolled her eyes at me as if I was inconveniencing her with a question I didn't even ask her. I observed her rolling her eyes at and giving other customers an attitude too, so I didn't take it personally. Eventually after a pretty long wait, the pizza was ready, I was told by a much kinder employee that it was ready as per my request to pick up and bring to my table, and it was pretty good. It's really obvious that this restaurant is mismanaged though, with several inexperienced people left to their own devices to handle the front of the house, one of whom is the rudest person I've ever encountered working in a restaurant. I work in public service also, and if I treated a patron like that I'd be disciplined. Won't be back.
Excellent food and service. We stopped in on our way home for a couple of slices. Pizza is thin, crispy, no flop, and absolutely delicious.Very cool vide inside from decor to seating options!
