As someone who works in the restaurant industry, it is unfortunate to say that the service was terrible.
Waited 10 minutes to be able to get menus, 10 to order drinks and 10 for food. No “good morning, how are we doing “ nothing. That was from one of the servers. The other female server who brought us our bill had included tip which had surprised us, more so because the service was not good. What shocked us more was the response of the second server who we spoke to regarding the included gratuity. When we mentioned we didn’t get service she said “ Oh did you go into the kitchen to get your own plates?” . It was absurd, incredibly unprofessional and immature. This second server was doing an excellent job serving her tables, the bad service was the first servers fault, not the hers. The problem was her attitude when we mentioned the tip. She removed the tip, then threw the check at our table.
Despite being a $8 tip, its not about the money, its about the service. That is what gratuity is for. Wish we could’ve had a clear conversation regarding our time there, instead of her just being insulting. The food has always been great here, sad to say the service ruined our experience.
The decor is lovely, food is great, service is unfortunate.

This place is great! It's literally one of the cheapest places I've been to do far, but it doesn't affect the food quality... The food is amazing, a variety of latin dishes, they also have a counter where you can choose a variety of rice and chicharron (fried pork with crispy skin) that you can choose from to go. The service was great, the girls are always coming to check on you if you need anything, the manager/owner I'm not sure who he was but seems to cater to all his guests making sure everyone is ok, seems like a family oriented place, some good Latin music is always playing in the background, you feel very comfortable, very friendly atmosphere. Overall the food, service and atmosphere are all great paired with the low cost, I have to give this place 5 stars.

I order from here FREQUENTLY! Their lunch meals are so affordable and delicious and the quantity is great. I usually have leftovers for the next day. Definitely a regular spot for me.

Anytime I eat here or get take out the food is always great, from morning breakfast to dinner the food is comforting. When I get take out they always offer me seat if there’s seating available. As I’m waiting they gave me updates how long my food would take. This is always a must stop before my long drives home.

I mean I've been coming here for years, however the food is just not consistently good or well made...staff is mostly slow in taking orders, food has been cold several times and the last time I had a lemonade it tasted as if the lemons or limes were spoiled or just rotten...I can do without...sorry Caridad, but its just not the same over there (Woodhaven, Q location)
