I love this place never disappoints!! The cemitas are amazing!! Side dishes are great too ive always ordered take out but everytime i come i see happy customers. The waitress is amazing no matter how busy she is she serves you with a smile and a lovely personality. The chefs that cook the food thank you i love the taste. Def recommend if you come to sunnyside. Thank you for always giving me a pleasant meal ❤️❤️
Food came out screaming hot and everything tasted really fresh. Burrito is huge and filled with amazing fried chicken and super flavorful rice, beans, and sauces. Will be coming back to try the fish and carnitas burritos.

People do not go there the drinks are disgusting I don’t know how people give this restaurant 4 or 5 stars when the food is awful and the drinks are disgusting they have a bad taste and when I asked the bartender (girl) she said I don’t drink I can’t tell you if is good or not so she give me a different drink I remember was a sangria and it taste awful as well at the end the night she charged me anyway which I did not care but I would never recommend this place

Cemitas is a staple in the Sunnyside community. The food is fantastic and they do not skimp out ever, the atmosphere is one of an actual community, Michele and all of the staff are amazing. If you’re from Queens you’ll understand why a place like Cemitas is so valuable to the community. I have so many dietary restrictions but they never caused an issue for me. Since I am so sensitive to food I can taste the actual quality of the entire service and attention to detail. They actually care man.

I also tried the fried chicken cemita as I was told it was the most popular. It's a cool little spot and met some locals who were very cool.
The cemitas are made on a sesame seed bun hollowed out to place the avacado and layered with oaxaca cheese, pickled onions, papalo a herb, chipotle puree, mayo, bean puree, lettuce and tomato.

These cemitas are massive. It does get messy to eat, but really good.
Their tacos looked great. I got a taste of the shrimp and it was ? . Definitely getting that next time.
The cocktails looked good as well.

Super friendly service, clean small space.
Tried the cemitas sandwiches, one short rib and one carnitas. With all of the toppings.
The hype is not exaggerated … these sandwiches are delicious!
The meat itself I would eat on a plate with some rice and beans.
On the sandwich with cheese, pickled onions, avocado, chipotle mayo, pinto bean paste, lettuce, tomato … every bite is a symphony of flavors.
I’ll be back for more sandwiches and to try more of the menu.
This was such an amazing gem of a restaurant find on my latest weekend exploration in Queens. Nice casual space, friendly server, good beer on tap, and awesome Mexican food. I went with the short rib cemita and it was the bomb. Huge and packed with so much flavor and different textures - braised tender short rib, chipotle mayo, pickled onions, guac - absolutely amazing!! And to top it off, everything is very reasonably priced. I’ll definitely be back!!

If I could give Cemitas ZERO stars, I would. I placed an Uber Eats order over an hour ago. When I called Cemitas to get an update he lied to me saying that my order went out 5-10 min ago. When those 10 min passed, I called Uber Eats Support. They called Cemitas who then told them that my order was a “self pick up” order. Uber Eats support confirmed to the restaurant it’s not a “self pick up” and is actually a “delivery” order. They could offer me a refund for this disgraceful service. When I called Cemitas back again to confirmed what Uber Eats reported, the same man basically told us to come pick up the food that’s been sitting by the window for the last 20 minutes. So he lied about my order going out for delivery and then lied about my order being a “self pick up”. Check the attached photos for proof that it was in fact for delivery. AND THEN he hung up on us telling us to call Uber Eats cause they are responsible. This is the SECOND time that Cemitas has used the excuse that my order is a “self pick up.” To the owner - my husband and I have been your loyal customers for the last 5 years. We will never come back and we will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau thanks to the person working at your establishment on June 10th between the hours of 7:30 - 8:50pm.
UPDATE: It is 10:15pm, 3 hours after I placed my order, and a delivery person is ringing my doorbell saying that Cemitas sent him a notice for delivery. The fact that Cemitas just now chose to find a delivery person to deliver this food at 10 o’clock on a Monday night is SHAMELESS!!!!! How do I know? Because I answered the delivery guy’s call and he told me that he JUST got this delivery notification from Cemitas and would I be accepting the food. NO I WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING MY 7:30pm ORDER AT 10:15pm!!!!
