At first glance this place didn't look like much with the sparse wall decor and plain white walls but upon reaching the counter you're greeted by a display full of dessert options and the menu had even more than what you initially see. I ordered a selection of cupcakes, one large (strawberry shortcake) and a few mini ones (mango, Thai tea, lavender, ube and red velvet). The cupcakes were a bit hit and miss in terms of the flavor coming through but my biggest gripe was that the frosting was so sweet that it overpowered the flavors of the cupcakes. I'd definitely recommend the ube, strawberry shortcake and lavender options. Also the staff was pretty nice. All in all it was a good experience and I'd recommend others to go try this place out.Parking: It's right near Roosevelt Ave so it can be pretty difficult to find parking. Plan ahead to give yourself extra time to find parking.Kid-friendliness: It's a dessert spot with tons of options from cupcakes, cake, cookies to even ice cream. The staff is nice.

Phenomenal flavors, moist and very rich. I've been to the original location and the current location. I love desserts and all things sweet...but this place offers expensive treats that are small and what tastes like it's been sitting out longer than it should. Hopefully the custom cakes are better.

AMAZING ube cake! I recently ordered an 8 inch ube cake for my friend's birthday, and it was amazing. The ube flavor was very strong and the cake was perfectly moist and dense (in the best way possible) while not being overly sweet. I am usually skeptical of ube desserts as many lack that authentic ube flavor, but Purple Dough's cake was on point. I'm looking forward to trying more of their desserts in the future, and continuing to support this Asian business. Mark, who helped me figure out how to get the cake delivered, was also extremely helpful via email & over the phone. So + extra points for that amazing customer service.

The Ube flan tasted like a molten chocolate cake. Just a hint of Ube. It paired perfectly with the flan. The halo halo was okay. The ice cream was just okay. Nothing special. However, I will be coming back for the Ube flan.
