Great Picanha very flavorful and cooked to the desired term (medium) The cheese and the beef empanadas made me remember my Grammy back home in Puerto Rico Definitely coming back whenever in NYC Ps. Caipirinhas are VERY strong and good
Dinner was amazing! The mini feijoada was bigger than expected and very tasty. The custard dessert was on point as was the caipirinha.
Really wanted to like this place but the food simply was not good. I've visited Brazil and been to a few Brazilian restaurants, so one thing I know: Brazilian food is great! And Brazilians know how to cook! The food here tasted like someone's attempt at Brazilian food. The price point was moderate I'd say, but the quality of the food was subpar. I had the short ribs in a “red wine” sauce, and it was salty, tough, and hard to get off the bone. My son described his piranha as “edible.” We did enjoy the pork ribs, but sadly not enough to rate this food any higher.
Great dining option near the theater district. Would be very likely to go back the next time we are nearby.
I lived in Brazil and Rice x Beans is the best Brazilian food I've had in the US in a very long time. Feijoada was excellent, as was the Bobo do camarao. Order the coxinhas as an appetizer -- they were as good as the best I've ever had. Great place.
First time and definitely won't be our last. Food was outstanding and service was as well.
Very delicious Brazilian food. Had the Feijoada. Our order of cheese bread never came but otherwise service was great.
The food was very good, the service was attentive, the atmosphere was comfortable. The drinks were very good, and the price was reasonable, overall the experience was great. It is a small dining room but they manage it well. We had 4 of the menu items and two appetizers, everything was delicious.
First time eating Brazilian food and it did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was so good. Loved the vibe.
Rice x Beans is an utterly delightful restaurant. The food is lovingly made, and tastes delicious. The service is attentive without being annoying. Even when the tables are fully booked, one can still have an easy conversation. Oh, and the cocktails are splendid. I count myself lucky that this is my neighborhood go-to spot. And the take out is just as fabulous!! Bravo.
Restaurantji Recommends
Beef stew was loaded with lean meat. Could have used a piece of bread with it. Platines were good as was the rice and beans. The glass of wine had a bad after taste. Would recommend for the food but not so sure about the wine.
Excellent Troplicaliente spicy cocktail! Tight space inside the restaurant but good food & was able to get a reservation for 8 people at the last minute.
Party of two promptly seated.. Small bistro.. which is nice but we anticipated a more boisterous night spot. Food was very good.. service at a relaxed pace. Great neighborhood spot. Eats & drinks + tip: $125.
The food is delicious!!
