This Shah’s halal location is always my go to spot for a quick meal. The food is always prepared quickly, extremely fresh, and has great portions. Always try to stop by here at least once a week if I can because of the great food and the great service I always get!

This halal cart is the best there ever is in queens… hands down honestly nyc, food is always fresh and warm and customer service is 10/10. I travel all the way from south queens for this

Open late , good prices, guy is super sweet. I like that he makes it without onions for me. Most places already cook it with chopped onions but luckily here it’s optional

I got lamb over rice it was MAAAAD SALTY
Couldn’t even eat it and that’s new thing to shah’s I’ve ate from this cart about 20 times never was that salty.
Very friendly and chill Egyptian guy though who’s making the food.

From the moment I walked through the door until I left I may have had the best experience ordering food out. This place by far had the friendliest staff with knowledge and help to get you through their ordering process. My first time in and I didn’t feel rushed every worker was smiling and every single person I spoke to said hello. Now the food I ordered the chicken and beef combo absolutely amazing 5 stars all the way and I’m not easily satisfied when it comes to eating dinner out. After ordering I left on my way home I realized I had someone in my party with a food allergy I called the store and immediately they went in the back to check the ingredients on one of the sauces lucky for my family member they could still eat the food and I did not need to go somewhere else. I will 100 percent be coming back to this food establishment. Thank you for the amazing food and by far the best service I have had in a very long time.

Just went tonight and grabbed 2 chicken platters to go with my fiancé. The employees were wonderful. Beyond kind and personable. The food I don’t have words for. I didn’t take a photo due to being over excited but the portions are more than fair for what you pay. The hot sauce is VERY hot for me personally but I like it. The salata that comes with the entree is so fresh and tasty. The chicken is perfectly cooked - tender and seasoned deliciously. Even the rice is a masterpiece. We also highly recommend the pakora chips! They’re crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the outside, seasoned, and made fresh to order. We were even told by the staff that we were welcome to sit and make ourselves comfortable while we waited for the chips since they are made to order but our food was done so fast we barely had a chance to! We’re not done eating but we’ve already agreed this will be our Saturday night go to. For 2 people getting 2 platters and a side of pakora chips it was just $30. You’d spend more per person getting dinner from any other restaurant around.

Hi! I’m writing this review because I had a really great experience at Shah’s Halal Food Cart in Sunnyside.
The food was absolutely delicious — especially the Chicken Over Rice and Combo Platter. Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor.

Prices are fair and the portions are big, so it’s definitely worth it.
What made it even better is how kind and respectful the man working there is. He treated us so well and served everything with a smile.

I highly recommend this cart to anyone nearby. You’ll love the food and the service!

One of the best halal food carts I’ve tried in New York!
The food is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I highly recommend the Chicken Over Rice Platter and the Combo Platter — absolutely delicious!

Prices are very reasonable for the generous portions, and they often have great deals like “Buy 1, Get 1 Free.” 🔥

What really stands out is the friendly and respectful guy running the cart. He provides fast service with a smile and makes you feel welcome every time.

If you're in Sunnyside or nearby, you definitely need to check out this cart.

Today was my first time at Shah’s Halal Food & it was DELICIOUS!!! The portions & taste are great. I’ll definitely be back.

Finally a place in Chicagoland that does the Halal chicken and rice the right way. I also tried the chop cheese which was authentic out of Brooklyn. This is the only place doing it right in the area. Today was probably my 8th time there since they’ve opened. Great place, keep it up. *The other new place is all show and no taste or class for that matter.

I have ordered food from this location several times in the past and each delivery was exceptional. Last night the order was so disappointing. The Gyro had mushy soggy bread and the ingredients did not look like they were fresh. It looked like it was sitting on the counter, waiting for somebody to pick it up for a very long time. My kids ordered the lamb over rice and it was no better. It actually looked like the inside of the Gyro. Did not look fresh was not appetizing. We had to throw it out new ownership? Something has definitely changed because this was such a drastic contrast from previous orders.

The Hindu who serves is rude and does not serve well

I dont have with the food i buy mostly everyday here but there is a guy who works day time whenever you buy gyro from him he never cooks the meat good or even pita bread is half cook and half un cooked.
