I am Happy to say I was introduced to The Woodlot thanks to a Yelp event. I enjoyed the atmosphere and service, I declared that I would definitely return.
A couple months later a fav and I decided to stop in after an event. Upon walking in Amanda (co-owner/partner) greeted me by name. What? How in the world did she remember me by name? That’s wild and the look on my face expressed my utter surprise. We all burst out in laughter.
Just like the first time we grabbed a seat @ the bar. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and feel of the space. It gives spacious elevated comfort, if that's even an interior design thing.
Amanda was just as sweet and attentive as before as she managed to take care of everyone solo. I told her I returned like I said I would to try their wings and another cocktail off the menu.
My fav and I both opted for a couple of the FOCO U Martinis. For wings I went with the Honey Garlic and my fav went with the Classic Buffalo. The wings were fresh and hot, I can’t say for sure if they are the “Best Wings in Queens” just yet. They were good however, I need to try them a couple more times before I can decide.
Amanda thank you for your amazing service and impressionable personality. I think I found a go-to spot in Woodside.
Just A Note:
They do not offer ranch with the wings, only blue cheese (yuck). TBH its not needed the wings can stand on their own.

This is a really great local bar if your in the area, I've tried some of the food and it did not disappoint, and the drinks are not too pricy I think I got a beer for like 6$ and a maragarita for maybe 10 or 12 ... it was not very crowded when i was there, but I've walked past some nights and it seems to be jumpin, and they usually have a DJ playing some classics in my opinion, although I rarely see any one dancing it stills gives to a dope ambiance, the bartenders are both friendly and beautiful at the same time, would recommend stopping by if you happen be in the area!

I’ve been to this spot several times and it’s always been a delight. Cocktails are well balanced and delicious! The staff is always friendly and attentive! Music was also pretty good during my last visit! Pretty chill and just an overall delight! Definitely recommend!

I've been a frequent comer to Woodlot for a few years now. I like the friendly, and comfortable atmosphere. Drinks are good, but it depends which bartender is making it. Food portions are quite small, but obviously you don't go to a bar to eat dinner. I've had experiences where the wait staff forgets to put in an order, but they usually address it right away. Overall, the staff are friendly, and I think it's a nice place to chill. Weekends get pretty busy.
My last trip there (Tuesday night), I went with one other person to celebrate my birthday. When the check came, they had already added on 20% gratuity onto the bill. We only ordered a few drinks, and some fries. I didn't even notice the gratuity charge until I was getting ready to tip, and we saw that they already added it on.
I don't think they've ever done that in the past before, and they didnt mention that gratuity would be added on prior. I understand adding gratuity onto larger parties, because most eateries automatically do that with parties of 6 or more. But they at least tell you, and have it written on the menu somewhere.
For them to add it without even letting us know was kind of upsetting, and I didn't see a reason for an automatic charge. Because of this reason, I'm not sure if I feel comfortable returning to Woodlot, unless management would kindly address the gratuity situation.

Great place to grab a really good drink and chill with friends. Bartenders are welcoming and skilled at making quality cocktails that will make you want to come back. Everything on their food menu is fire! Definitely a spot worth checking out for yourself.
Amanda and Sarah are the best of the best! The Woodlot is my go-to spot whether it's early or late, watch the occasional Mets game or just hang out with friends and family. Wide array of drinks for whatever you're in the mood for and food is great too. Chicken Quesadilla is must try. Beware that you might get hooked to this place and the people there.
Best place to hangout and Chill. The music is great, when I’m there I feel comfortable especially the bartenders Sara and Amanda always attentive and great customer service.
