We visited Allison Restaurant in Woodstock, arriving very hungry after a 3-hour hike on the Overlook Mountain trail. From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with warmth and kindness, making us feel right at home. The place is small but incredibly cozy and, most importantly, warm – perfect for relaxing after a day out in the cold. The food was absolutely delicious, exceeding our expectations, and the prices, especially for being in the U.S., were very competitive. I highly recommend Allison Restaurant to anyone visiting Woodstock: a dining experience that combines quality and hospitality in a charming and comfortable setting.

This place is SUCH an incredible gem. Isabel is friendly, warm, and amazing. She clearly takes such pride in the restaurant and creating an A+ experience for the customer. My family came in as a group of 6 to celebrate a birthday and we were SO well taken care of. Best food I’ve eaten all year. Great service and atmosphere too. We will definitely be coming back!!

The food at Allison was barely edible and don’t get fooled by google about the $10-20 range, I think the accurate range is $30-50 for a 1 star dinner. The butternut squash tasted like it was straight out of a can with added sugar – totally ruining the beautiful fall mood. The clam pasta was sour and overly salty (I feel like they also used canned seafood, I had four clams with shells on and the rest were tiny pieces of baby clams). Plus, they automatically add a 21% tip to your bill without mentioning it, so be careful not to tip twice! (I don’t know how they did the calculation, 21% is odd to begin with and for lunch?!) I ended up paying $30+ for a plate of sad and disappointing pasta (don’t charge like nyc when none of the restaurant quality is up to nyc standards)

We had a burger and a white sauce clams pasta. To be honest, the burger was very dry(I ordered “well done” maybe that’s an excuse, but there was no sauce and only a little tiny piece of cheese) and probably the worst burger I had ever. The coleslaw as a side had a strange taste like it has been putting in the fridge for a long time. And they charge 21% tips, for a burger with this quality, not worth it at all. And I don’t know why the label for this restaurant is Italian on google, what an insult for Italian kitchen lol.
