Wonderful family run restaurant with excellent food. In a short period of time has become a Woodstock mainstay for quality and consistency. A true “local” eatery.

I had the pleasure of dining here for dinner with my boss on 3/11/24. I had the vegetable quesadilla which was delicious and the Bossman had the tuna which was excellent. Great place and great vibes. Finally, an affordable restaurant in Woodstock and... they deliver an extra plus! I look forward to dining here again real soon with the family

I was going to Woodstock yesterday to see a movie at the Tinker Street theater. But found out about Allison and decided to try it out. There were a couple of people in the dining room when I arrived around 6 PM. I was greeted with a smile by the server. Sat down at a table for two. Got the menu and saw there was lots of good choices things you don't see on other menus like casseroles I decided to order the entrée of spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce. You can pick from meat sauce also for an extra few bucks Decided to try and order of garlic bread with mozzarella cheese. Also the fresh lemonade. I picked the chicken and rice soup. I got a nice bowl soup with plenty of chicken. I'm nervous about getting soup at some restaurants because sometimes they're too salty and other times they put Manian glucoma meat in the soup stock. The chicken was very good tasting and the soup was definitely not salty, nor did it contain MSG. My spaghetti and meatballs came out along with the garlic bread. The spaghetti and meatballs were presented very nicely on the plate. The spaghetti was cooked very nicely. The sauce had a good flavor to it. Maybe a bit too tangy for me I like a sweeter sauce. The meatballs were big and delicious. With a very good flavor nice taste of breadcrumbs, other seasoning, and the meat nice and fresh. I enjoyed the garlic bread. It was a big portion. The service was good and the food here is a very good value, I definitely wanna come back and try some other things. The cheeseburger hero looks good. Some of the casseroles also seem very intriguing. I'm happy that a restaurant in Woodstock has a menu with a lot of different choices very reasonable prices throughout the menu.

The long-running and previous Joshua's will always be remembered as a Woodstock staple. But with their closure, Allison's Restaurant made their entrance. There are no shoes to be filled as Joshua's was global and Mediterranean with the Shashoukas, Israeli salads, shammatov, etc. Those were the days. The newest kid on the block, Allison's, also runs the gamut between a mix of wraps to quesadillas to fajitas, some Italian fare to souvlaki to Mexican street corn to a cordon Bleu- heck, there are even plantains offered here. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Since hubs and I are spending almost every weekend in Woodstock, I have a better gage at comparing menus and who's offering what. The owner Isabel, is super pleasant and welcoming. The space is very minimalist and the dining room feels toasty good. She and her family are bringing a different spin to their restaurant- but they're also keeping in line and offering a Smoke Salmon sandwich for instance- which a lot of people enjoy (I do too) and other breakfast staples. Ventilation system is great and I didn't carry those food smells on me. These folks open at 9ish(?) and close at 9:30 I think and offer more than the 3 square meals. Again, the menu is all over the place, but options are almost endless. Despite the 'bland' or 'mediocre food' a few folks are complaining about, it was a simple breakfast pickup for me. The high-end prices in town are something hubs and I are familiar with- but it's also nice having a new eatery offering a menu that won't break your wallet.

I hardly ever leave bad reviews, but this place was such a disappointment. I parked in front of bread alone my first stop usually when I come up here, but was hungry and in the mood for a good breakfast. I searched and found this place with a high rating. I had been here once before when it was a Mexican or Restaurant or something. It was a little past 11 but they were already doing lunch. The butternut squash soup was barely warm, I was about to send it back, to reheat it, but my wife told me not to, she doesn't like to make a fuss. So I just put it aside. The waitress who was very impersonal and not very friendly , didn't ask if anything was wrong she just picked it up. The penne a La vodka was at least hot, but not Al dente. I poured Parmesan and hot peppers on it, and tried to eat it, but could only get through a quarter of the plate. My wife is very polite but she only ate half of her penne arrabiata, and said it was fine. I wasn't thinking about garlic bread, but when the waitress, who is very sour and unfriendly, suggested it, I thought ok would be nice with soup. Problem was she brought it 10 minutes after I started eating the pasta, and had sent back the soup already. The bread was not toasted, I told her to toast it and she came back with it completely dry, and inedible. Might not be fair to compare this food to that of an Italian restaurant, but if you're gonna put pasta on the menu try and learn how to cook it right.

A great place and huge portions. The warmth and attentiveness of the staff (particularly Isabel!) and the delicious food make it a must on my Woodstock eateries list.

We enjoyed delicious omelets, toast & and potatoes, but I didn't realize the onions & peppers were an extra charge that would have made the potatoes tastier. Very reasonably priced. Friendly waitress/ owner, I believe.Dietary restrictions: They had gluten- free toast.
