Amazing restaurant, delicious food and outstanding staff! Had an amazing experience there.
Wow wow wow
One of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time
Not pretentious, good service, and food that is simply incredibly well prepared
The pork chop was the best I’ve ever had easily beating the supposed best ibericos you can get in Spain
The food here is spectacular. Not over complicated, think top tier elevated home cooking. Exactly what you want to eat after a day of enjoying the Catskills. Fresh, seasonal, flavorful, masterful. The drinks and wine list are fantastic, too. I love when they bring the wine bottle to the table for a taste even when you order a glass. The pita with whipped butter is a must. Take the left over butter home; it’s so good.
We had a lovely summer evening dinner on the patio. Right off the center of town, the interior and exterior are stunningly beautiful, renovated with all of the original architectural details and charm. Excellent food, seasonal menu prepared with local ingredients, great wine/beer list, and friendly service. This place is a perfect representation of the spirit of the Catskills, and why it is such a special place for so many.
For the price the food is acceptable. At these prices I expect it to be top in the category for their mains which it unfortunately is not. The porkchop is fine but its honestly mid. The snitzel is flat out bad and the fish was just okay. I will say the sides are very good and I highly recommend going here just for the sides and leaving.
probably the best restaurant experience i’ve ever had. hands down, service + food (phenomenal) + ambiance + atmosphere .. i could go on! MUST VISIT when around!
thank you guys we had an amazing time!!!! <3
Everything was amazing food, staff, seating. Great vibes. The whipped butter is off the charts.
My boyfriend and I celebrated our six year anniversary here, for dinner. Our server Sophia was delightful and gave us lots of recommendations. Not to mention two glasses of champagne to celebrate our anniversary!
We brought our pup with us and the staff were so warm and accommodating. Shoutout to their wonderful manager!
Must try’s:
-the strawberry lavender margarita
- the rhubarb pomegranate sour
- Kale and Brussels salad
- The smoked beets(best way I’ve ever eaten beets)
- The Oysters(so fresh and that mignonette is out of this world)
- The clams and ramps(I’m an artichoke girl but that sauce was amazing)
- The mushroom pasta with asparagus(this is last meal worthy)
We will definitely be back and can’t recommend this restaurant enough! Thank you for welcoming us in and truly for creating such beautiful food, in such innovative ways.
BEST meal I have ever had in my entire life and I try new restaurants in nyc all the time.
Everything we ordered was absolutely mouthwatering. We got:
-the Wood fired pita- that whipped butter was heavenly
-prosciutto & fig- the combination of all these ingredients and flavors made for the perfect bite
-Lamb chop- simply stunning
-mushroom pasta- the umami flavor was unreal. You need to get this!
The service was great and the restaurant is super cute inside

So so good! Definitely recommend ordering family style to try more.
The mushroom pasta was the best thing we ordered but could have skipped the shrimp & sausage appetizer. The artichoke soup was delicious!

Highly Recommend! Service, food and ambiance were impeccable.
Food:
For appetizers, we got the lamb and shrimp pita and a kale and brussels salad. Both were very tasty and great choices. I got the blueberry sour and espresso martini to drink and they were great.
For entrees, we got the chicken schnitzel (not something I would usually order, but saw recommendations online) and lamb chops. Both dishes had interesting and deep flavors but we were impressed by the simplistic yet flavorful chicken. Both had innovative flavors!
Dessert:
We got the Turkish delight panna cotta and the lavender chocolate pot. Both not too sweet and delicious
Would love to come back!

Once in a while, you come across a restaurant that has everything perfectly aligned. Sylvia’s is that place. Olivia, who waited on us, was exceptional: Professional, warm, and genuinely down to Earth. The manager accommodated our request for a quieter table even with a full house! The vibe was very chill and cool, including the music selections. Now let’s talk about the food. The Wood Fired Pita with whipped honey butter was, in fact, “magical,” as Olivia described it would be. The artichoke soup and five green salads were a perfect, unique blend of flavors. Chicken schnitzel with green beans was delicious and cooked perfectly, as was the filet of trout. Additionally, homemade sodas are a nice nonalcoholic beverage alternative. Sylvia’s is the standard all restaurants should try to strive for.
