Had to stifle a laugh when leaving today. ? Stopped in with my wife for a couple of drinks this afternoon & got the Woodstock Margarita, which was good. And THEN:….nothing. Put the 2 empty glasses on the bar front-n-center and was then ignored by the clueless, too-cool-for-thou owner/bartender for an interminable amount of time..He busied himself kibitzing with other customers, stacking aluminum pans, etc., etc, ? Finally asked for the check and never did get a 2nd drink. I was going to go back for tacos at some point, but not after the rudeness I encountered today. Ridiculous and not a very smart way to run a business. ?

Walked in, no one acknowledged us, after a few minutes we were told to grab a menu at the bar and order at the bar. We stood at the bar while the waitress spoke to a burst for a few minutes and were never acknowledged. So we left.

Overpriced tacos that take FOREVER and have absolutely no seasoning or flavor. The rice and beans were so bland, it tasted like they just boiled them from a bag. The only thing we loved was the view.

Tinker Taco has the most unique & delicious tacos!!From the first bite you can tell they care deeply about the quality of ingredients being used in each taco. We ordered our tacos, were handed a number for our order, then sat ourselves near the outdoor grill. (If it was a little warmer out, we would have sat by the river as there is ample seating!)Our food was brought to us once it was ready. I ordered one barbacoa, one fish, and one chorizo y papas taco. Each taco was savory and enjoyable in its own way, but my favorite was the fish taco – every bite was crispy & oh-so delicious!I highly recommend giving Tinker Taco a try.

This is one of the best locations in Woodstock to lounge by the river or inside at the bar and chat with friends. The bartender is so nice and the margaritas are never short of interesting flavor profiles. It’s an order-at-the bar & take a number where they drop your order to the table. I always get the fried avocado mole and chorizo tacos which leaves me full! They recently launched BBQ on Fridays and the ribs were bangin’ and a generous portion for the value. A Definite go-to spot!

First thing to keep in mind is that the prices on the menu are PER TACO. So normal little 5 inch tacos are going to run $7-9 each. That's going to make this place very expensive very fast. The service was poor. First they couldn't figure out how to use their computers so we were sent to order at a bar. Bar tender completely ignored us and we eventually went back to the other spot where they had finally figured out their computers. The food itself was good, but nowhere near worth the price. We got 4 tacos and two sodas. $50 later we left hungry, but the quality of the food was good. The location is the one saving grace. It has a beautiful spot on the water. Very nice. Too bad such a nice location is wasted on such an overpriced and mediocre restaurant.

This is the second time I came Tinker Taco. Although the tacos are good, they are overpriced and the service is very poor. You gotta do everything on your own from bringing napkins, asking for extra baskets, to asking for salsas.

I Came Here in 2015 when the owner was behind the kitchen and the quality was fantastic. Came here today and the tortilla was super try. If the tacos are made by hand and fresh, how is it that they feel like they are leftover from the day before? If this is truly a place dedicated to making great tacos, then my recommendation is that any good taco begins with a fresh warm tortilla. The tortillas here are stale and cold. When the owner was behind the kitchen many years ago, this was not the case. Also, the Clamato‘s are simply watered down beer. If this place truly specializes in Mexican cuisine, it might do them justice to go to Mexico for one week and try what a real Clamato and taco taste like.
