Quickly stopped by to grab a bite. The chilaquiles were bland and lacked a lot of flavor and seasoning. I’m Mexican and I hate when I go to these little restaurants and they just wing it with the food. That’s not what a salsa is supposed to taste like and the food has to be flavorful. Unfortunately we had to stop somewhere but this was a bad choice on my part.

I would like to inform everyone about a concerning issue at this restaurant regarding the distribution of tips among the staff. The owner has been keeping the gratuities left by customers instead of distributing them to the staff as required by law. In addition, he uses the tips collected daily to pay employees their hourly wage, capping their rate at $12, which is below the minimum wage. I encourage visitors to consider this situation before leaving a tip, as it may not reach the intended recipients. If you have any doubts, you can confirm this by asking your server, but be mindful that the owners may deny these allegations. I will be following up with a complaint to the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division (WHD).

Very good and authentic Mexican food and pleasant service. Is a popular place so had a short wait. Heads up that when the Bill comes you’ll see a cash price and a higher credit card price. They charge more if you use a credit card rather than cash.
As someone who lived in San Diego for 3 years and frequently visited Baja Mexico this place is a hidden gem!!!! Awesome dishes, chips/salsa, free tequila shots!!!! Amazing service! GRACIAS!
Food was excellent, service a little slow but our waitress was very polite. Atmosphere was authentic Mexican. It was nice and quiet because we went early for dinner. Definitely will go back!
