This place is totally horrible. I waited about 15-20min for fries and half Philly Cheese Steak. They ask do you want cheese and didn't even put it on it. It was dry and lifeless. The cooks move like turtles. This is a fast food place and there is nothing fast there noooothinnng.
Coming from a Chef by paper and experience. You need a small amount of oil. You have not make the Steak look like shavings. For the success of the business I can come and show you.. You should be able to have 5 to 6 done in 6 minutes or less.. look me up on Facebook and I will teach your Yaphank store how to get it done.. By the way my mom said it was GROSS..
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER...

Excellent, everything.
Friendly staff. Quick service
Great to grab on the way out of the store.
One of the best places to eat! Plus owner supports the community . He allowed the varsity cheer team sit hours in front of the store raising money to get to nationals . We are so thankful!!!

It's a nice place to get a quick meal. I
After an exhausting day, ended up shopping to Walmart and saw Charlie’s, never tried before so decided to give it a shot.
Great experience , 5 customer service, they do exactly what you ask for and give you your time.
The food was excellent and the place was chilly
Recommend 100%.
The staff is very friendly too and enough fast for the result .
Not a bad place. If it wasn't in a Walmart, I'd go back.
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME. Last two times my husband went, got straight up ignored. I’ve had their food before which was ok, so waiting just to be ignored doesn’t make it worth it in my book. I’ve worked in the food industry in the past and I understand it can get busy, but all it takes is to acknowledge someone standing there for over ten minutes. And to be honest a lot of the times the place is empty so it doesn’t make sense…they need new staff. They seem to get overwhelmed when there is barely anyone there….we tried to give this place plenty of chances but the food can be greasy and eh so it’s not worth the bad customer service 😅😅 just being honest.
I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at Charles Cheesesteak inside the Yaphank Supercenter Walmart was so appalling that I feel obligated to warn others. If you’re considering grabbing a bite here—don’t. Save yourself the disappointment, frustration, and stomach ache.
First, let’s talk about service—or lack thereof. The staff was shockingly rude and inattentive, as if they were annoyed that I dared to interrupt their day by ordering food. No smiles, no courtesy, and certainly no sense of urgency. I waited nearly 20 minutes for my food, despite the place being almost empty. Even worse, they got my order wrong! When I politely pointed it out, I was met with an attitude and absolutely no apology.
Next, the food quality was beyond disappointing. The cheesesteak was an insult to anyone who’s ever had a decent sandwich. The bread was stale, the meat was dry and flavorless, and the cheese was barely there—just a sad smear of something processed. The toppings were either rubbery or wilted and unappetizing. To make things worse, the fries were cold, soggy, and drenched in grease, as if they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for hours.
But it doesn’t end there. They will charge you for sauce they don’t even have. That’s right—I paid for extra sauce only to be told they didn’t actually have any. No refund, no acknowledgment, just another excuse to rip you off. And if you’re thinking a soda might wash it all down, think again—the soda machine is so watered down that the drinks taste like carbonated tap water with a hint of flavoring.
The cleanliness of the establishment was another level of horrifying. The counters were sticky, the tables were dirty, and the floor was covered in crumbs and trash. Even the soda machine looked disgusting, with sticky residue all over the nozzles. If the front of the house looks like this, I can’t imagine what’s happening in the kitchen.
On top of all this, the prices are outrageous for the garbage they’re serving. Over $10 for a meal I couldn’t even finish because it was that bad? It felt like daylight robbery.
This place is an abomination of a restaurant and a disgrace to the name of cheesesteaks everywhere. The owners should be ashamed, and Walmart should seriously reconsider letting them operate inside their store. If you care about good food, decent service, or even basic hygiene, avoid this place at all costs. You’ll thank me later.
